A/n: Tehehehe. Lol, hope you like it
EDIT: Okay.. so.. I had to fix a format issue and then noticed how much these first couple of chapters sucked so... heres the update version of Chapter 1!
The room was bare, the walls a blank white. Bars were bolted into the window and his door's locks had grown from 5 to 10, he had barely been released from his so-called bedroom since he had returned to the Dursleys on June 8th. It was now July 11th and the only thing he had to keep him company were a well cared for duel deck that his aunt had given him, a look of sorrow in her eyes but it was not him she saw, she looked past him as if seeing someone else. Harry had busied himself, every morning he'd do push ups, sit ups, stomach crunches, chin ups and much more, after he'd done he would be released to go to eat, go to the loo, have a shower and do his chores.
He had finally had a growth spurt, going from 5'5 to an impressive, for him, 5'8, his skin had paled to a colour caught between dead and healthy giving him an odd yet handsome look, his eyes had slanted a bit making him look egyptian in decent. 'I probably am.' He had thought wryly. The green in his eyes had intensifyed, a light dusty silverand a deep crimson had been added to the underside of his hair and lightly on the ends, nothing done on his part. The foul glasses that had cluttered his face were broken and discarded as Vernon had smashed them while still on his face, the glass damaging his eyes but his magic healed them after a while. His hair had grown out a bit, leaving it hanging in his eyes, his fringe was sharp and pointed and went into his eyes with a golden colour, three lightning bolt-like golden points made the black spikes on his hair contrast sharply with the gold, blue tips littered the edges of the larger spikes.
He had gotten the sense before the end of term to get new clothes, mostly dark colours, he'd found that anything too bright hurt his eyes, a side effect from his magic overhealing his eyes to a point where he could no longer stand the sunlight and was forced to wear sunglass on the sunny days which were luckily few and far between. Currently, he was flicking through his deck, he drew out his three favourite cards and they shone with a faint light. Skilled Dark magician, Black Luster Soldier and Gaia the Fierce Knight.
He put the deck in a pocket on his second belt, the black leather of his pants seemed to disappear in the room yet the sleeveless blue shirt he'd thrown on stood out prominantly, the gold ankh glinting around his neck. He heard the door unlock and his aunt smiled at him, her eyes slightly to the side again before going downstairs, Harry following only noticing barely that she was wearing a dress of pale pink.
Vernon was stood in the hallway, a suit on, Dudley grinning beside him. Vernon turned as they came down, his face twisted in a sneer. "Boy." Vernon snarled, his eyes flaming. "We are going out. We were going to leave you but we can't so you will have to come, the neighbours asked for all four of us." He sniffed. "We don't have time for you to change so just go, you don't deserve our clothes"
Harry gave Vernon a dirty look, the evening light dancing across his face. He didn't say anything though, as they were lead to the new neighbours house, his eyes shadowed by his hair. The house was white like the rest but had a friendly aura shrouded around it, the white fence had been taken down and a mat sat on the door step, proudly welcoming all those who walked the path. Harry stopped behind his relatives and listened carefully as footsteps sounded and a few seconds later, the wooden door swung open.
An old man with gray, unruly hair grinned, his eyes dancing and opened his arms before clapping once happily, a black haired woman stood next to him, she looked egyptian with her dark eyes and bronze skin, beside her was a guy with a bald head and a ponytail at the nape of his neck, a tattoo down his face, his eyes were a dark blue colour and seemed to tell a painful story.
"Welcome." The man said, his voice accented in Japanese. "I'm sorry. Come in, come in." He said, grinning still as if the smile was stuck to his face.
Vernon smiled politely and allowed himself and his family to be lead into the living room. Harry felt eyes on him and turned, looking to the woman, his red lips twitched into a friendly smile before it fell as Vernon barked. "Potter!"
Harry gave Vernon another dirty looked which he ignored and followed behind obediently, his feet speeding up oh-so slightly. "Coming." He sang, not noticing the tall womans eyes narrow suspiciously.
The living room was nice, the room was a light blue and the couches were a soft white with fluffy blue pillows. Harry followed his aunts example and sat on the arm chair, his dark form weirdly looking darker as he leant against the back of the chair.
The old man looked to Harry, his smile - if possible - getting brighter. "Hello. I am Solomon Motou, thats Ishizu Ishtar and Odion Ishtar. The boys will be down in a minute and dinner is almost ready."
"Hello." Ishizu said. "Call me Isis." She said, her voice accented also but different.
"Very well." Harry replied, inwardly smiling as his uncle rapidly went purple at being ignored. He fell silent though, at the glare that promised pain from his uncle. Vernon's face was a blotchy purple and rapidly turning puce.
Isis sensed the tension and was about to break it but it wasn't needed as the arrival of five boys broke it with ease. They were all very odd looking and seemed close, shoulders hunched protectively against the world. One had hair like snow and doe-like brown eyes, his twin was exact in every way but the eyes, an intense lavender with stripes of crimson, were ancient. Another was pretty short, his hair just like Solomon's except his had blonde bangs at the front, black and magenta at the back, his eyes were a bright innocent amethyst, the other boy was his twin in everything but his eyes, his twins eyes were a deep crimson like fresh blood with the same ancient look in them, the other guy had blonde hair and looked alot like Isis, his blue eyes bright with something moving in their depths. Harry froze for a second as a flash of crazed eyes appeared in his head and a scratchy, deep laugh that resembled something eerily demonic as if another person was overlapping his speech
"Ah." Solomon announced, his eyes bright. "Everyone, meet Yuugi and Yami." He pointed to the dark haired twins and then swung to point at the other twins. "Ryou and Bakura." He lifted his lips in a smile again and pointed to the last boy. "And Marik."
Solomon turned to the guests, his eyes twinkling. "Everyone. This is Vernon Dursley, thats Petunia Dursley, thats Dudley and that is..." Solomon trailed off, looking to Harry in confusion. "I don't actually know. We've never been introduced."
Harry smiled gently at the old man, already liking him because of his easy nature. "Harry Potter, sir. Nice to meet you all." His voice spoke to the silence.
Any responses were cut off as a timer buzzed loudly and Solomon clapped his hands again. "Dinners ready everybody. Come to the dining room." Solomon lead the way, humming a foreign song under his breath.
Harry got up easily, his muscles barely even tensing at the easy task. He brushed a strand of hair from his eyes and tucked it behind his ear, the hand sliding back down to his pockets. Petunia got up as well as did Dudley while Vernon visably struggled, his form bulky and fat.
"Boy." Vernon hissed, his eyes panicking as everyone stifled laughter. "Help me up."
Harry raised an eyebrow, silently thanking the gods that he had magic. He grabbed Vernon's hand as his uncle glared and yanked the large man up with no effort, Vernon lurched foward and glared swiftly at the taller boy who smiled innocently, Vernon clenched his fat fist around Harry's hand, the bones made a faint popping noise and Harry flared his nostrils in an effort not to cry out, feeling the bones grind together and snap slightly. He bit his lip as Vernon dropped his rapidly bruising hand and regained his footing. Harry pointed to the door, his expression cheerful but his pupils blown wide with pain. "Dining room it is."
The five boys in the doorway all looked at each other meaningfully. Everyone then followed, the house owners looking a bit angry at the display but not commenting. Harry leant against the doorway of the dining room, shaking his aching hand swiftly, the red turning to a deep purple. The group filed into the dining room, Odion stopping briefly to give Harry a bandage. Harry grinned softly and bandaged the hand tightly, sighing in relief.
He then followed the silent man into the dining room. He sat as far away as the Dursleys as he could, next to Odion, he trusted the egyptian slightly and it showed in his eyes. The man had secrets but he was kind and that went far in his books.
Yami observed the boy that the Dursleys seemed to hate. He was familiar but distantly as if it was a memory he couldn't grasp. Those eyes.. they were wrong. Ancient, guarded and swirling in a sea of fury. A 16-year-old shouldn't have those eyes. It was then his suspicions started.
Dinner was nice but Harry stayed silent mostly, listening to the soft chatted that was exchanged. Odion slowly came out of his shell and talked more and more until Harry was listening as he described Cairo, green eyes sparkling with excitement. "It sounds beautiful, I'll have to go one day." After Odion finished, Harry lifted his head as someone spoke to him. Ryou, if he recalled correctly.
The white haired British boy smiled at him. "Do you duel by chance?" Ryou said softly, voice gentle and polite.
Harry smiled a little and nodded, twisting slightly so the white haired boy could get to his deck, Ryou pulled the deck from the belt's pocket and began flicking through the cards, trained eyes flickering over the names. Harry finished his dinner at that point and stood up, the light shrank away from him as he did and he didn't notice Yami's head snap up, his eyes looking into the shadows of the room, seeing bright blue eyes. Harry picked up his plate and cutlery and went to the kitchen, knowing where it is as all the houses had the same floor plan, he put them in the dishwasher and ran a swift hand through his hair, ignoring the flash of pain from the injured one.
"What a mess." He muttered as he stared at his bandaged hand, wiggling the fingers slightly. Vernon had hurt him before but never infront of others, always when he was alone and always after a bad day. Harry couldn't understand it. He snapped himself from his thoughts just as the group exited the dining room. He went over to Ryou to get his deck back as Vernon went to the door and left swiftly.
Ryou smiled at Harry. "Nice cards." He grinned, his brown eyes shining as he handed the cards back. He was biting his lip slightly though, exchanging a glance with Yami.
"Thanks." Harry murmured gently, putting the cards back into his belt pocket and rubbing his pale arms lightly, he had stupidly not brought a jacket. "Bye guys." He said as he slid out of the door, shutting it softly and running speedily down the road, he needed time to hide.
The five boys were all sat in the living room, Yuugi and Yami were curled up under a duvet, lips pressed together as they hungrily devoured each others tounges, hands fumbling against skin and scratching lightly. Ryou and Bakura were chatting with Marik quietly, trying not to show a reaction to the hungry moans they could hear.
"So." Marik said, pulling his cover tighter around his shoulders. "What do you think of the Dursleys?" His eyes focused on Bakura, as if he could zone out and not hear it. Again something shifted under his skin, a soft chuckle
"I hate them." Ryou announced, his doe eyes suddenly vicious. The small British boy hated violence against young people and it made him furious that people could do that.
"Of course we saw, idiot." Bakura said fondly, he loved Ryou like a brother.
"Mhm." Marik voiced his agreement, shaking slightly as his hand clenched.
The moans slowly turned it breathless pants and the three didn't need to look over to know what was happening. Tingles ran up Bakura's spine and he shivered a bit, pretending to be cold as he brought the covers over his body. Yuugi giggled softly from the sofa and then a high keening shout echoed through the room as Yami grunted.
"I t-think.. that he'll be okay." Bakura forced out, his voice trembling slightly, clenching his knees together.
"Lets hope so." Marik mumbled under his breath.
12:30 am
"Harry!" A voice shrieked from his black mobile, Harry winced and held the phone from his ear. He was just walking to work, the blue exterior of the shop glimmering in the distance. "You missed work again yesterday! Boss is frantic, he had to call in a favour!"
"I know, I know, Val. Vernon make me go to dinner with him." Harry replied ducking into the shop, waving a hand at the customers who grinned silently, seeing the phone. "Look, I gotta go. See you when you're at work."
Harry pulled lightly at the shirt, it was a sleeveless white one, his pants were tight jeans, showing off his muscled legs to the trained eye, the two belts he always wore were at different angles, slanting over each other easily over that was a black buttom up shift and his trademark ankh. He leapt into the chair at the desk and picked up a magazine, flicking through it as he leant on the counter, whistling to the music in the background.
A blonde haired boy with black tips and black eyes came over, his smile bright. "Hey Jimmy-boy." He called happily, bounding over with his trademark energy.
"Howdy Toby!" He replied, putting the mag back on the counter and slapping the boys back. "Hows the gang?"
"They're all good, 'sept Nicky-boy." Toby had a tendancy to add boy or girl to every name.
Harry looked concerned, his eyes sharpening and he grabbed Toby's collar, leaning close as he growled in a dangerous voice. "What. Happened."
Toby made a chocked gasp and Harry let go of his neck, Toby glared a bit before speaking, looking down at his hands. "Nicky-boy's parents left him. He's alone and smashed up from a beating."
Harry frowned angrily, the shadows licking at his feet like live flames. "I'll fucking kill them." He promised.
"I know, dude. I said the very same thing as did most Nicky-boy's friends." Toby said, he pulled out his duel deck and slammed it on the counter. "So! You want to duel? We'll have to do it the boring way, not much room in here."
Harry slid his deck from the belt and placed it lightly on the table. "Mmkay. I'll go first. I'll summon Dark fire soldier #1 in attack mode, I'll equip him with axe of despair. This allows me to up his attack points by 1000. I'll also place feral imp in defense mode and thats the end of my turn."
Toby nodded and glanced at his hand before placing a card down. "I play Magician of Faith and throw down a face down. Your turn."
Harry glanced at the face down before drawing a card. "I'll put down a face down card and attack with darkfire soldier. Your lifepoints decrease from 4000 to 1700." Harry folded his arms and grinned.
Toby mearly glared. "I place down Lord of D and Ryu-Kishin before sacrificing them to summon Hyozanryu in defense mode. I'll now place Mountain, this card grants all dragon, winged beast and thunder-type monster's attack and defense points by 200. That ends my turn."
Harry blew out a breath and drew a card. "I place down Steel ogre grotto #2 in defense mode and activate one of my face down cards, Curse of Darkness. This trap card makes it so each time a spell is activated the controller of that spell card takes a 1000 points of damage." Harry chuckled and saved his last card for later, it would come in handy.
"My turn." Toby said, they both noticed the slight crowd that had formed and was watching them duel. "I turn Hyozanryu into attack mode and place down Sacred Crane in attack mode. That ends my turn for now."
Harry raised his pierced eyebrow and drew his card, silently wondering what Toby was playing at. "I attack with Darkfire soldier and destroy your Hyozanryu. That leaves you with 100 life points, plus the effect of my Curse of Darkness kicks in. You loose." He sang happily, his eyes twinkling.
"Dammit. How do you do that? I mean, I've seen you do it to others but me?" Toby stomped his foot a little angrily and continued. "I was the European champ!"
Harry laughed gently. "Don't feel bad man." He said, turning his head to the slow clapping.
He was suprised to see Marik standing in the crowd, his eyes a little wide. Harry offered him a smile and cleared up his cards before putting them back in his belt pocket. He sipped the coffee Kira had dropped off and wrinkled his nose in silent question. The crowd dispersed and Marik leant on the counter.
"Impressive." He had spoken quietly but it seemed to echo and Toby made a growling noise, making Harry laugh.
"Why thank you." Harry replied. "Now, What can I do you for?"
"Well, I was hoping to get this eye on my bicep." Marik said, drawing the sennen eye on a bit of paper with ease.
"The sennen eye. Ah, I've heard about that." He grinned at Marik and nodded. "Okay, Is anyone free I wonder?" He spoke to himself but Marik shrugged anyway.
He checked the laptop, opening the schedule and found everyone busy, shutting the laptop he slid out of the chair easily. He picked himself up and stretched, his muscles tensing and his joints popping softly.. "I'll do it myself then. Come this way, Marik."
Authors notes:
I'm sorry about the lack of Yuugi action, I'll bring them in more in the next chapter. Review kids and keep an eye out.
