Title: Cinderella
Rating: K+ for schmoopy goodness.
Disclaimer: I own nothing. It all belongs to Zuiker. Damn.
Summary: She's his little princess; he's her knight in shining armor.
A/N: Spoilers up to and through 5.24, Grounds for Deception. You brought this upon yourself, Messer. Just a quick drabble of Daddy!Danny and baby Lucy! I love that name.
Sorry if this has been done a million times, I just couldn't help it. "I'm the only man in her life." Haha, Danny, we love you.

He thought he wanted a son. Someone to throw a baseball with and take to hockey games. Someone to brag about the girls and be good at math and science. Danny was destined to be the father of sons. His father had two sons, and his grandfather had four. It was in his blood as a Messer, to have sons.
That was why he couldn't believe that God had blessed him with this miracle of this beautiful baby girl. Pink dresses and ribbons and little, tiny, pink feet. He didn't think he could love anyone more, except maybe Lindsay, but she had produced this miracle. She had owned his love for a while now. Lucy hadn't done anything noteworthy yet, and he was still completely in love with her.
He had suggested they hold the baptism at the tigers' pen in Central Park and Lindsay had slapped him. His cousin, Lena, was coming into town to be godmother, and Mac was planning on wearing dress blues. This baby had changed all of their lives, definitely for the better.
He could still take her to hockey games.
