This is just something silly I came up with after Ziva became an official agent. Was anyone else really excited about that or was it only me?
The first time she did it he wrinkled his nose.
The second time, he clenched his fingers into a fist.
And the third time she did it he cornered her and almost smacked her upside the head.
"Agent David" Gibbs barked and headed toward the elevator.
"Zee-vahs in tr-ah-bull!" Tony sang.
Ziva followed Gibbs to the elevator, "Yes, Boss?"
He clenched his teeth together, there it was again. That word. He waited for the elevator doors to slide open and stepped inside, Ziva followed suit. As the doors slide shut he flicked the emergency button and turned to Ziva.
"Just because you're officially NCIS and an agent now doesn't mean you have to change, Agent David" he growled at her.
"I am trying to adjust, yes? Become part of the team."
"Doesn't mean you have to call me Boss" he griped
"But Tony and McGee-" Ziva began.
"Since when do you follow Tony and McGee? Especially Tony?" he questioned
"Never" she said scowling.
"Exactly, so don't start now" he commanded.
Ziva was quite.
"Are we clear, Agent David?" Gibbs said sharply
"Yes Bo-Gibbs" Ziva answered quickly.
He grinned and pressed the release button on the elevator.
Just before the doors slide open Gibbs spoke again, "You're already part of the team Ziver. You never stopped being part of the team"
He strode from the elevator to the desks.
Tony and McGee sent looks in Ziva's direction wondering what had gone on and why their boss suddenly looked so happy.
"Let's move out! Dead Marine in Clear River Town. Tony with McGee" Gibbs said cutting their contemplations short.
"Yes Boss. Let's go McGeek" Tony said as he grabbed his gear.
"Ziva you ride with me" commanded Gibbs.
"Yes Boss" she said dodging the hand that was aiming for the back of her head. She made her way briskly to the elevator sporting a huge grin. Sure she'd regret it in point two seconds but it was fun in the moment. Gibbs stepped into the elevator glowering.
Just as the elevator doors slide shut a resounding SMACK! echoed through the building.
