A Disney-esque Life
Oh sure you can be my guest
And act like you've never had a friend like me
But let's face it, I'll never be part of your world.
Why? Because I need to go the distance
Paint those colors in the wind, with that
Sweet spoonful of sugar that always helps the medicine go down.
Yet, Where is this beauty's beast?
After all I can't keep going through life wishing upon stars because
It does make a difference who you are.
The fact is that there is no whole new world,
Where I can swim under the sea or fly a kite to
It's highest height.
But I'm sick of pretending to follow a leader
like all those poor unfortunate souls,
Waiting for that day when their prince will come.
I mean why should I worry?
I'm not some zero trying to become a hero.
That reflection I see is really me.
That's when I realize,
I don't want to be like you.
I want faith, trust and that bit of pixie dust.
