Pairing: Yumi/Sachiko, Sachiko/Suguru
Genre: Angst, Romance
Disclaimer: characters aren't mine but the so-called plot is
A/N: I got the idea from a song that has the same name as the title (It's Mitä yhdestä särkyneestä sydämestä by Mamba if you wanted to know).
Sorry all Yumi/Sachiko fans but this pairing is the best for bittersweet romance and/or angst ^^
*isn't sorry at all coz angst is love*
What of one broken heart?
What is more painful than love?
Yumi had a cup of lukewarm coffee in front of her and she sipped it absentmindly. Her eyes were focused on a beautiful blue-haired girl who walked circles in the student council room nervously. They were the only ones left, others had walked out in pairs. For a change Yumi's face was completely empty, not even eyes revealed anger and jealousy that burned inside the girl.
She was able to see the facts, the horrifying truth that had been shoved on her face. No one had given her time to prepare, time to harden her heart so the pain had pierced her vulnerable armor.
Sachiko was madly in love, in love with her future husband, and that love made her blind. She couldn't see the obvious, what was in front of her eyes. She couldn't see the promise of happiness, the broken heart. All she saw was Suguru, a man she had hated and loved for years.
Yumi sighed and sneaked out of the room because seeing her onee-sama that happy caused unbearable pain. Yumi knew she was selfish but she couldn't be glad for Sachiko. She blamed herself for being terrible person when she wished that Suguru would die or that Sachiko didn't love him the way she did. She didn't wish for Sachiko's happiness. The cost was just too much.
Yumi walked past window and noticed that man, his eyes were cold, emotionless. The man didn't give even the half of what Sachiko did. He don't love Sachiko back, he just want to… to show off, Yumi thought bitterly. Suguru looked up, saw her in the shadows of window and nodded smiling.
'She's mine,' the smile mocked, provoked. Suguru knew, Yumi realized. The man knew about those hours the brunette had waited for Sachiko's call, meetings that got cancelled because the blunette had something more important to do. Or someone.
But what of it? What of all tears, anguish and unsaid words? Sachiko didn't care. The older girl didn't notice, to her friendship was something that didn't require any sacrifices. Love was for sacrifices.
Yumi was like driver skating on the wrong line with a car that had no brakes. Everything was against her.
What is more painful than love?
One-sided love.
