Good Enough

The song is Good Enough by Evanescance. And DC comics owns Mista J. and Harley. And Mista J. and Harley are O.C.C. sorry about that.

Harley waited until Mista J. was sleeping before she reached for her diary. Sighing softly, she grabbed her pen and went into the living room.

Lighting some scented candles to relax, she settled in to the green oversized chair that was her favorite place to think. If Mista J. ever knew that she wrote songs, he would laugh at her. That was one thing that Harley could never deal with. He could beat her, cuss her out, take her pride, but the thing that he could never do is take her songs away.

Most people write in their diary about their day, hopes, dreams, and secrets. Harley's dreams are dead thanks to her Mr. J. The only thing that gives her hope for the future is her songs.

Placing her pen to the creamy white pages of the diary, Harley started writing:

*Under your spell again

I can't say no to you

Crave my heart and it's bleeding in your hand

I can't say no to you*

Stopping briefly, Harley looked around to make sure Mista J. was still sleeping, she started writing again:

*Shouldn't let you torture me so sweetly

Now I can't let go of this dream

I can't breathe but I feel

Good enough

I feel good enough for you*

Picking up speed, she continued writing:

*Drink up sweet decadence

I can't say no to you

And I've completely lost myself and I don't mind

I can't say no to you*

Hearing a soft noise, Harley looked around and saw nothing.

*Shouldn't let you conquer me completely

Now I can't let go of this dream

Can't believe that I feel*

Harley loved how the song was coming together.

*Good enough

I feel good enough

It's been such a long time coming

But I feel good*

Thinking back on the rare few times that Mista J. treated her well, Harley's heart swelled with hope.

*And I'm still waiting for the rain to fall

Pour real life down on me

'Cause I can't hold on to anything

This good enough

Am I good enough?

For you to love me too?*

Placing her inner most hope on the page, Harley wished that it was the truth.

*So take care what you ask of me

'Cause I can't say no*

Finishing the song, Harley closed the book and placed it back in her hiding place. Quietly slipping into bed, Harley closed her eyes and dreamed that she had a future.
