I dunno. I wrote this as the point of view of one of the kids. If you've read the series, you can probably figure out which one exactly it is. This is my first posted fanfic of any sort, and I think the line spacing and I had some issues. Hopefully you smart people can tell where one stanza ends and the next one begins. Please be nice.
From Another Point of View
I can't remember...
What happened to me.
Who I was with,
Or what we were doing.
I barely remember my own name.
My eyes feel like they're bleeding,
But I can't go to sleep.
The instant my eyes close,
They wake me up again.
I'm going insane!
My body is so weak,
And there's something in my arms.
IV's I think.
They're drugging me.
I can barely breathe.
People are constantly coming and going,
Talking to me.
I can't reply,
For I have no idea what they're saying.
Their words just slur together in my mind.
They want me to join them, I think.
The only problem is,
I don't know what I'm joining,
But it appears I have no choice.
What's going on?
I keep hearing someone's voice inside my head,
Calling my name.
He sounds so familiar,
But I'm too weak to respond.
And my memory doesn't help.
"Are you there?"
What did I do to deserve this?
What do they need me for?
I'm just a kid!
I don't understand,
And I miss someone,
But who?
Then there was a lady.
I want to look and see who's there.
But I'm afraid,
Scared to do anything without permission.
What else could they do to me?
"Your brother abandoned you."
Brother?
I have a brother?
I can't remember his name.
So where is he now?
I guess he really did leave me after all.
"Where are you? Are you there?"
I'm all alone.
