Romeo And Juliet
Letter To The Nurse From Her Sister
Dear Darling Sister,
You must know that am very fond of you, but I must tell you that I am ashamed of your actions. I can't believe that you would be running around passing secrets around for Romeo and Juliet since it is so risky. If the Capulet's found out about this, you would be fired immediately and have no job or home. How would you manage not having a roof to live under? It would be extremely hard to find a new job and any job you can get probably won't make you much money. We are in such a low class, I wonder if you could ever manage to be hired at all. You should be grateful that you have a job and mind your place.
I can't even imagine why you would want to be passing secrets for Juliet and Romeo, anyway. You are a grown woman who should mind your own business and know better than this. I don't know what you were thinking when you decided to just pass these secret messages. Are you trying to relive the excitement of your younger days? It saddens me to think that you don't know right from wrong. Don't you know that they shouldn't be getting married in the first place since their parents are enemies? It is very dangerous to be passing their secrets back and forth. What if Peter mentioned something to the Capulet's? You would be made fun of for your actions and be frowned upon by the Capulet's. Please just promise me that you will stop your nonsense now and do your chores. I don't want anything bad to happen to you so please act like you are a proper lady and make good choices.
From, Portia
