Chapter one:
I screamed out in agony as his daggered slashed me again. This time it was my side. His wicked silver eyes glowed with victory. He raised his sword off the ground and pointed it at me. I knew he had won.
"Any last words Kyah?" his cold hard voice asked.
"Yeah, I do." I stood straight. My side throbbed in pain, but I didn't care. I got a hold of his eyes. Then I was in.
"You don't want to do this Zane." My voice echoed inside his head.
"Get out!" he hollered at me. He dropped his sword to hold his head. His face became beat red.
"Zane, this isn't you. It's them controlling you! Please don't make me do this to you." I begged him.
"Stop it! Just stop!" He bent down and picked up his sword. Before I could say anything else his sword was buried in my chest. I gasped for air as I fell to the ground. I looked up into his and for a split second I saw regret. His eyes told me he hadn't wished to do this. But for some reason he had.
"Why?" I asked him still in his head. I knew how dangerous it was for a mortal to intake this kind of control.
When a minder (or someone who can communicate though your thought) gets into a mortals head they own you. The can see every thought you have, every dream, memoire, anything that goes through your mind is free game. And it is fatal for someone like me to do this to a human. It's also against the law and against everything I stand for.
But I needed to know. We loved each other. We cried, laughed, grow-up, smiled together. And now he caused my death.
"Why?" I asked again. He just turned away. His face was covered in blood. Something in him made me feel sorry I made him do this. I knew he would be my death. But instead of saving him from this I made him go through.
"You left kyah. You didn't want me. They do. See the difference?" he smiled. Not a victory smile, but a smile to cover the pain that he would have after he killed me. He smiled to cover the fact that he would spend nights upon nights crying, and he smiled to let me know how sorry he is that it had cam to this. And finally, he smiled to let me know he still loved me and to wait for him on the other side.
"I love you zane. I always have. I shall wait untill the end of eternity if that is what it'll take to have you by my side again." He said nothing. Then after both of us looked in each others eyes he moved in for the finale blow….
