That Dreaded Little L Word:
Nico and Percy walked up to Thalia Grace, a matching pair of devious smiles etched across their faces. The huntresses were staying at Camp Half Blood for a few weeks, and the two cousins wanted to spend some 'quality' time with their favorite daughter of Zeus.
"What?" Thalia questioned earnestly, setting her bow down. Her eyeliner coated eyes glared up at them from the tree stump she was resting on. "I know that look Death- Breath and Kelp Head. If you're planning on doing something to me..."
A look of phony hurt flickered in Percy's emerald eyes. His hand shot to his heart as he replied, "do something to our dear, loving cousin? Never. It honestly hurts me to think that." Nico grinned crookedly at his words and said, "So dear cousin… Why exactly did you join the hunt?"
Her lips pursed in suspicion. They were up to something, and she knew it. "You know that, guys. The Ancient Prophecy. I didn't want to be the kid who had to fight Kronos. And apparently, I made the right decision by doing that." She eyed Percy quickly, before averting her attention towards Nico. "What's all of this about?" She loaded her bow to show the two demigods in front of her that she meant business.
Percy bit back a laugh. "So you're sworn off to men, right? No relationships, no men... no sex. So tell me Thalia which breakfast food do you prefer? Muffins or bananas?"
Thalia's eyes widened, her face flushing rapidly. She tore her gaze away from the two, trying to cover up her blush. She then placed the bow down on the grassy ground beside her, Thalia's electrifying eyes narrowing sharply, intimidating daggers. "Are you actually trying to have the puberty talk right now? Wait a second... what are you implying?" Percy and Nico glanced at each other, the mischievous look still cast upon their faces.
Thalia's body temperature heated even more. "What are you two saying? Huh? Are you implying what I think you're implying?"
Nico knelt down on his knee, placing a comforting hand on Thalia's shoulder. "It's okay, Thalia. It's okay to admit you're a little different from the others." Her hand shot out, and gripped his arm tightly. Nico winced, but coughed to cover it up.
"She's really angry, man." Nico told Percy, still smiling under her grip.
"There's no need to use physical violence with this conversation, Thals. I mean, I know your kind is kind of violent-"
"What kind? What the hell are you talking about?"
He ignored her, "we're just trying to help you. I mean come on, look at that gothic outfit. It's a total turnoff."
"Are you saying I'm a lesbian?" She released her grip on Nico and calmly walked up to Percy. He grinned playfully back at her in response. She gave him an angelic smile before twisting Percy's arm behind his back, pushing him to the ground. "SAY IT! SAY I'M NOT A LESBIAN!"
"Nico..." Percy grunted underneath Thalia's restraint, his voice wheezy. "Help me!"
"I don't know, man." He scratched the back of his neck. "You better say it."
A lopsided smile formed on Percy's face. "I am not a lesbian."
"NO!" Thalia screeched, muttering a few colorful words under her breath. "Say 'Thalia is not a lesbian.'"
"Thalia is not a lesbian." A smug smile formed on her face, as she climbed off Percy.
"Thank you."
"So what you're saying is you prefer the term gay?"
A/N: Okay, this is not to be insulting to gay/lesbian people. This idea just popped in my head and I knew I had to write it. I might continue it if you click on that review button. ;)
