An angsty one-shot I wrote to vent about all the crazy stuff going on right now.
Don't think about it.
Don't think about it.
Why should it matter?
Just don't think about it.
Just…
Don't
Think
At
All.
Those were the words Allison chanted to herself as she ran from Shermer High after having her heart smashed to pieces. She really couldn't blame Andy. He was a horny teenage boy who certainly wasn't getting anywhere with a freak like her. But Claire. She had trusted Claire. Hell, John had trusted Claire. But never again.
She had been walking into school when she saw two fugures locked in a passionate embrace. It looked like the girl was going to eat thepoor guy's face off. But he didn't seem to be complaining. That's when Allison noticed the fiery red hair and the letterman jacket with the light spot that was the only indication that a patch was missing. At that moment everything their mis-matched group had worked for was gone. All of their efforts to beat the stereotypical mindframe that plagued their generation were wasted.
Because now they had become the stereotype. The dumbass jock that went behind his girl's back. The bitchy prom queen that stole the bad-boy's heart and stomped on it as she laughed with her ditzy friends. The crazy chick who had to always hide her feelings. And the nerd who always seemed to just fade into the background.
Allison looked from the top of the tree she had climbed to get away from it all. The sky looked so clear and inviting, she wanted to fly. She wanted to fly away and never return. But the clear blue sky eventually faded to black and Allison was thrown into darkness.
Don't think. She thought.
Don't think at all.
What did you think? Good? Bad? Let me know. I love reviews.
