Disclaimer: Okay this is weird, and a shock to you, but I don't own Naruto. Or the poem, or the place I'm posting on, or the words. I own the plotline and I typed it, but that's about all.

Remember me when I am gone away,

Gone far away into the silent land;

When you can no more hold me by the hand,

Nor I half turn to go, yet turning stay.

They were going to outshine the sun.

Team 7, they were the perfect team, the dark and brooding Sasuke balanced perfectly by the bubbly Naruto. And the happy Sakura.

They were perfect together, the best team. The son of the Hokage, the last of the famed Uchiha clan. And the smartest girl, ever.

But that all changed

Naruto had the Kyuubi inside him. And needed to get stronger.

Sasuke had left for power.

And Sakura was left alone.

They had the whole life in front of them, but they wasted it.

Naruto died in a battle, Sasuke left and Sakura was left alone. Unable to contain his shame Kakashi abandoned the team and became an ANBU.

Remember me when no more day by day

You tell me of our future that you planned:

Only remember me; you understand

It will be late to counsel then or pray.

Kakashi would help Sakura and sometimes treat her to a bowl of ramen. But he was mostly distant and into his own thoughts.

The conversations, always ended in an "I'm sorry" and Sakura in tears. They were the only ones left of Team 7.

A team that could outshine the sun.

As Sakura always looked at the picture that they took, she always thought of a dream that she had. They were holding hands, forever. She wished that dream would come true so much. But life apparently wasn't a fairy tale.

But she had to move on. They were part of her life. A blond boy smiling, eager to show off. An arrogant boy who broods, but will give his life for his friends. And a happy girl, who believed that red and pink and green, are perfect.

Yet if you should forget me for a while

And afterwards remember, do not grieve:

For if the darkness and corruption leave

A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,

As Sakura was reading the poem that was all that's left, she had to smile. Naruto scribbled handwriting was balanced perfecting by the neat kanji of Sasuke's. It was perfect harmony, and she wished she could linger onto those memories.

But she had to move on.. She wished, oh she wished that it back where they were a team, but alas it wasn't.

She wanted them to go back to where Naruto was the loudmouthed, Sasuke was quiet but sometimes with a smile on his face. And Kakashi looking lazy, . She was happy.

Better by far you should forget and smile

Than that you should remember and be sad.

It wasn't such a fractured fairy tale anymore. The hero and damsel fought, there was no galloping into the sun. The hero died, the damsel left, but the girl left behind, found a happy ending.

It has to be happy. The fractured fairy tale had to be fixed. And she the one left behind, has to do it. "They'll see" she said to herself, as she picked up the letter again.

It was going to be hard, but she has to move on.
