Hi! It's me, BlackFeather101 but you can read that. Now here's the new fanfic! Trying to make it a nice story. But anyways... So Melissa's a pretty name so why not name my OC that? But anyways! It will be first person until stated.

Melissa America Gonzales Esquivel. That is what my parents had named me. Melissa after a friend and America out of gratitude towards the new country they now resided in legally. I was their second child and first girl which they took very seriously like any parent would. They didn't let me leave the house often without supervision, they would ask me what I was doing, you know that type of supervision. It was completely expected of parents.

Only it gets annoying once you're old enough to take care of yourself.

"Melissa!" My mother cried in her accented voice, caused me to groan in annoyance as I sat up from my bed. I was trying to calm myself before leaving the house for the high school dance I so longed to go. It was somewhat like a prom dance only it was for the people who did not wish to spend almost more than hundred dollars for a ticket just so you can get pretty for one night in a somewhat dingy hotel room. That's my high school for you.

"I'm going!" I yelled back, rolling my eyes when she retorted that she hated when I said that phrase. How on Earth did it tick her off, I will probably never know. Sighing slightly though I slipped on my black dress shoes and stood completely up. I gently patted down my black dress skirt. I didn't really want to wear it for I had issues with wearing them is that because I'm now a young lady, I'm expected to wear... revealing clothes and then surely immature guys looking at me, thinking that I'm a girl that dates anyone. A reason why I'm wearing the skirt at all is because it's one of the last times I'll ever be able to make memories with my friends.

Humming softly to random songs, I make my way towards the living room where there stands my impatient mother, a scowl upon her usual smiling face. "So are you going to with any boys?" She asks, crossing her arms over her chest as she awaits my response.

"Just two. Freddie and Rick. You know them remember?" I reply smoothly. I notice her scowl grow bigger and I know exactly why. Rick is rumored to be in the drug business, often seen talking with others quietly or just flat out offering people for a trip during our lunch hour. The neighborhood is basically waiting for him to make a wrong move and so is my parents who plainly disagree with our friendship even though I reassure them that I told Rick that I was just going to be his friend, not his partner in crime so he had to leave me out of it.

"And any girls?" She further questions. I nod vigorously, knowing that she'll already know who they are. Natasha, Carla and Jessica, my three best friends since elementary school. While we may not seem like the likeliest type of friends, with Natasha being the 'that one girl everyone knows', Carla being the sweet yet shy girl people have a crush on, and Jessics being the one who is in between the two personality traits.

My mother sighs, which is sign that her questioning is done. Quietly. Yet quickly she makes her way over to me and embraces me. "Please take care of yourself. You know what will happen if you don't." She said softly. I sort of just awkwardly pat her back, the size difference making me feel like a mom, and nod. I wasn't that stupid after all. "Con cuando mi Honeybee." She muttered.

I blushed at the nickname however I remembered how well it originated. For you see, I have a passion for anything honey related. Honeycombs, honey flavored medicine, honey on toast, honey in coffee. You name the object and more than likely I'll be able to find a honey equivalent. Now my family also say that I can get easily angered as quick as a bull or rather a bee in this case so it helped my parent's even more when it came to coming up with a nickname. Thus I was called Honeybee by many.

"Si, don't worry, mami." I reassured her. Really sometimes parents act like you're walking out of their lives when you are just going to a dance not that far away. I slowly unattatched her from my form and heard Rick's ringtone come on.

'po-ppi-po-ppi-po-ppo-ppi-pou po-ppi-po-ppi-po-ppo-ppi-pou po-ppi-po-ppi-po-ppo-ppi-pou po-ppi-po-ppi-po-ppo-' Hatsune Miku's voice sings out before I answer him.

"Yes?" I ask.

"I'mma pick you up at the corner." Comes his blunt reply before he hangs up. I fought the urge to roll my eyes. Why on Earth did he buy that phone if all he was going to say to people is one sentence.

"I'll be going now.." I said quietly. My mother nods and waves me off, before going back to the kitchen. A bark however brought attention towards the front door. There sat my or what my parents call the family dog when we all know I'm the one who take care of her. The pregnant German shepherd barked again, letting me know that she wanted to go outside to see me off. I laugh softly but open the door for her. Really it amazes me how well she adapted to the house life.

The bright sun caused me to cover my eyes as I was blinded for a second by the sunlight. When it came back the first people I see outside is my younger brother Raf and my youngest sibling, also only sister, Stephany racing their RC race cars, with Stephany giggling each time she flipped over. What caught my attention the most however was a yellow and black Urbana parked right in front of the house's sidewalk. I raised an eyebrow before walking up to Raf.

"Uh Raf?" I asked, in a way embarrassed of asking, "Whose car is that?"

Raf looked up as he placed the remote down, smiling up at me. "My friend's. He left it there for right now. He'll come back for it later."

I purse my lips but shrug. "Alright." I replied. "Tell him that his car looks eye catching." I added before waving them goodbye and heading down the driveway. I pause however and looked again at the Urbana before shivering and feeling I was being watched. ' "Weird..." I said softly before continuing down the street, towards the corner. However the feeling of being watched did not go away.

"Walk fasta before I leave ya." Rick's voice said as his ghetto accent began to take over. I rolled my eyes but picked up the pace towards his new Titan, knowing that he was only picking me up to show off how rich he was. Again more than likely he was rich from selling drugs to poor kids. Still I don't know why I still hang out with him.

I silently climbed into the passenger seat in the Titan before he began to flirt which I sat there quietly. I was pretty used to this but I knew this was going to be a long trip.
