Unfortunately, that wasn't what Lola Kabra did. Instead she took it home with her. The kitten was a calico. She knew her parents didn't like animals. She thought maybe this cat would change their minds. At only 11 years old Lola felt powerful. Being the daughter of Ian and Cara Kabra is difficult. She always learned both Lucian and Ekat stuff. Her parents knew she was a Janus. Maybe this cat would show them.
"Lola, what do you think your doing with that cat?" Her dad asked.
"She was lost. I needed to help her." Lola explained.
"That was very thoughtful," her mom told her. "Did you check the collar?"
"No," Lola said. "I forgot to." She looked at the collar.

"Let's give her back then," Lola said disappointed.
"Oh honey. I'll get you a kitten." Her mom said.
"Thank you!" Lola cheered.
