Shovel Knight's Quest #2
Shovel Knight and the Monster Hunter found a door close to the entrance they came from. It lead to a dark lab deep within the surface.
Another sticky note was handed to Shovel Knight, and it said:
"Why did I not see this before?"
Shovel Knight shrugged, and they walked into the lab. Something weird was in the lab. It was a… human?
"Plague Knight!?" Shovel Knight yelled, "What have you been doing here?"
The person in the glass case was none other than Luigi. The unimportant, looked-down-upon Italian in green. Luigi's eyes suddenly flashed open, taking the pair back.
Luigi was staring at them.
The glass shattered, and the green man jumped up. Then, he spoke with his normal voice, but it was scratchy. "So, you want to be on super smash bros?" he questioned almost mockingly.
Shovel Knight nodded slowly, and said, "yes, felon. We are, but we need to get out of here."
Luigi smiled a devilish grin. "For saving me, I'll give you something. Here, but you have to find the way out."
He disappeared in a flash, and he left a giant circular button where he stood. The red button was spinning and was floating a good foot off the ground. "What is that thing?" Shovel Knight whispered, as he reached for the red button.
Shovel Knight's small hand tapped the giant red button, but as it turned around, it said "B1" on it.
A red light filtered the dark lab, and a type of energy went to him. His pocket glowed a red color. He reached, and pulled out the flare wand. "My relic!" he exclaimed.
Hunter's sticky note hit his helmet, and the note said:
"You have found your first "B" button attack. There are 4 moves and 3 for each move. There is "B", up "B", down "B", and side "B", which is right or left. It is pretty confusing, but there are 12 customizational attacks. Your first "B" attack is the flare wand. Use the "B" button to use it."
Shovel Knight was confused at this, because he was talking as if it were really smash bros. He knew the "A" button was a smash attack, "R" and "L" were defending, and side stepping, but he had to UNLOCK his "B" buttons? How does he use them? Where's my salad?
Shovel Knight didn't know how to respond, so he just nodded. He muttered, "I'll remember that…"
