Millennium Eye

One day I found

An all-seeing eye

With knowledge of past

Present, and future times

The gods have a way to hide it all

Our lives are created to find them

A very large game of Hide 'n Seek

But the gods are good

We can't find them all

We ask for help

Gods give us revelations,

Hints—we have to interpret them

We try

We may not succeed

But we try

If we were all-seeing

We would be gods

A/N: Once again... another poem from my big English project. In case anyone was curious as to what this project is.. We had to write five different ORIGINAL poems using five different styles (of course, we didn't have to have just five poems in our books but... anywho) Along with those, we had to provide five poems that inspired the creation of each of the original poems in some way (rhyme scheme... form... style... etc.) Then, we had to write a short (aka 5-7 sentence paragraph) artist's statement about each of our original poems. (here comes the fun part) Then, we were allowed to bind all the poems and artist's statements in a book-type form and decorate it however we wanted. And that was the great big English project :D
