Gotta Catch Em All, Miraculous Style (AU)

Adrien and Marinette are Pokemon trainers, setting off on their journey with their companions, Tikki and Plagg. They meet new friends along the way, and they must stop Hawkmoth from experimenting on Pokemon and taking over the exotic Kanto region.

Chapter 1

Adrien was excited to get his Pokemon companion today. Getting his companion meant freedom, friends, and adventure. He jumped out of bed and started getting ready to go to Professor Fu's lab.

Marinette woke up to sunlight streaming through the curtains and her phone on the floor. "Oh crap, I'm gonna be late!" She got tangled in her blanket, and fell to the floor with a thump. She hurridly put her clothes on, grabbed a croissant, and ran out the door to head to Professor Fu's lab.

Adrien was walking up the stairs to the lab when he heard the gate clang behind him. He turned around to see a pretty bluenette with pigtails coming up the stairs. She was wearing pink leggings, a white shirt with cherry blossoms on it, and a brown jacket. "Hey," he said casually when she caught up to him.

"Hi," Marinette said looking up at the blond boy in front of her. He was wearing jeans, a black shirt with three colored stripes on it, and a white jacket. "Are you getting your partner too?" 'He has striking green eyes,' she thought.

'She has pretty bluebell eyes,' Adrien thought, looking down at her slightly flushed face. He held out a hand, "My name's Adrien, what's yours?"

"Marinette," she said, shaking his hand. She took out her phone and said, "We're going to be late if we don't get going now."

Marinette grabbed his hand and started tugging him up the stairs, missing Adrien's slight blush. She got to the top of the stairs and let go of his hand. "Sorry, I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable," she said looking at her feet.

"It's ok, Marinette, I'm fine," he said smiling at her. "We should go in though," he said walking over to the door.

Adrien opened the door and playfully bowed. "Ladies first," he said with a wink.

"Oh, such a gentleman," Marinette said playfully. She walked in with Adrien following close behind.

The lab was nice and open, with many Pokemon roaming around. There was a man standing over by two Pokemon, a black cat and a ladybug.

"Are you Professor Fu?" Adrien said.

"Yes, and you must be Marinette and Adrien," Professor Fu said.

Marinette unconsciously moved a bit closer to Adrien and said, "Yep, that's us."

Fu gestured to the Pokemon standing next to him, "These are your partners, you may choose which one you want."
