Chapter One
Another year was to come at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which meant another batch of innocent first years. They entered the great hall, single file, one by one, being watched by the other students and the professors, eagerly. Eventually they bunched into a big crowd in front of the sorting hat, nervously awaiting their name to be called my Professor McGonagall.
'Mark Whittaker?' McGonagall called out to the students. After a pause, a small boy with a rather pointed nose and very small eyes appeared, wearing scruffy robes and nervously sat on the stool waiting for the sorting hat to be placed on his head.
When the hat was finally on his head after minutes of anxiety, it fell slightly over his eyebrows. He then jumped at the sound of the sorting hat's voice, complimenting him on his courage and pride, and sent him to Hufflepuff. It took him more than a minute to realise this was the moment when he had to go and sit at his bench with the rest of his house.
As these innocent children got called out in front of the whole school one by one, a sense of boredom was crawling amongst the great hall. Until one girl was called. Her name was Harmony MacKail and she arose wearing a bright pink woolly jumper under her robes, completely noticeable. As soon as her name was called Dumbledore stood up from his seat and stared at the girl in horror and amazement. This was the girl who had a whole future of magical wonders to come. Although Dumbledore sensed it, she had no idea what she was in for.
