Chapter One-Rapunzel
After Varian was arrested, everything seems to be back to normal in Corona. Except for Rapunzel who still feel sorry for Varian going down the wrong path. It was a week since the Battle of Old Corona, Rapunzel still felt guilty. "Thinking about the kid?" Eugene asked. Rapunzel signed. "Look I'm sure that Varian won't suffer a serious sentence. Hey I've got an idea! How about you go for a stroll in the nearby woods?" Eugene suggested. Rapunzel did lighten her mood, "Ok thanks for understanding Eugene." Rapunzel said before leaving she kiss him on the cheek.
A strange green mask floated down a river. Nearby the river, Rapunzel was exploring when suddenly something catches her eye. Walking slowly with caution, Rapunzel was close enough to bend and pick it up. "A mask? I've seen a lot of masks but this one looks interesting! It must be special." Rapunzel said. Then she noticed the sun setting. "Oh Pascal! We've gotta get back!" Rapunzel said as they hurried back, taking the mask with them.
Rapunzel quickly took the mask to her room to examine it. "Hmm, maybe it belongs to an actor?" Rapunzel said. She flips the mask over to look at the back. Then she noticed a green glow shimmers across as if it was tempting her to put it on. Slowly, Rapunzel lifts the mask to her face when suddenly it latches itself onto her face. In fear, Pascal hid under Rapunzel's pillows. Then Rapunzel spun into a tornado. When it was over, Rapunzel's face was now green. "Wow! I feel like partying!" Mask Rapunzel said. Rapunzel ran out of her room.
Monty was closing up the shop for the night when he heard Rapunzel's voice. "Monty, I believe we have unfinished business." Rapunzel's voice said. "You know the shop is clo-AAAHHHH!" Monty started until he saw Rapunzel's face! "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE? Did you paint your face green?" Monty asked. "No time to chat! HAHAHAHA!" Mask Rapunzel laughed manically as she pick up Monty and busted through the locked door.
By the morning, Rapunzel woke up in her bed. "Did I dreamt it?" Rapunzel asked herself. Then she noticed large piles of candy and sweets. Rapunzel panicked and got up quickly to hid very last piece. After she done that, Rapunzel went downstairs for breakfast when her dad, mom, and Eugene were discussing that Monty was attacked last night. "Attacked?" Rapunzel asked. "Yes, Captain said they found Monty covered completely in chocolate and hanging from the ceiling. Monty was too traumatized to say who his attacker was. But the strangest thing is that his attacker only stole candy but no money at all! So without any candy to sell, I'm afraid Monty will have to retired." Frederic explained. Suddenly Rapunzel's face was pale. "Rapunzel, dear? Are you feeling well? Is it about Varian?" Arianna asked. "No, no! I'm fine. I just didn't sleep well last night." Rapunzel quickly lied. In her head, 'That mask! It made me do those things! I need to find a way to hide it so no one will ever find it and have it fall into the wrong hands!' Rapunzel thought.
