"November 16th 1985...yeah, I can hold..."
Kamui walked silently in the hallway, cordless phone to his ear as he waited for a response.
"Hey...Kamui, who are you call--"
"SHH!"
Sorata lowered his voice.
"Sorry...what are you doing?"
"The fate of our lives rests on this phone call! Try and be quiet, Sorata."
"Oh...it's really important, then. I'll just leave you to your call--"
"What in the world are you two--"
"SHH!!"
Arashi nudged Sorata and leaned over, whispering that dinner was ready and questioning Kamui's pacing. Sorata whispered back softly.
"His destiny is on the line! He's on the phone with someone important, *very* important."
"Ah HAH! I found you, Kamui. Now, as for your punish--"
"SHH!!!"
Fuuma paused on the window sill, staring at the three Ten no Ryuu. He blinked.
"What is--"
"Shut up, Fuuma!"
"We're waiting, be quiet!"
Fuuma stepped down and crept over to Sorata and Arashi, leaning close to listen. Kamui spoke up then, pausing in his fidgeting to look at them.
"I'm on hold."
Resuming his pacing, he walked from the hallway to the kitchen and back again. Arashi whispered to the two men.
"I wonder who he's waiting for. Maybe it's the Emporer!"
"No, he's on the phone with Hinoto."
"That's impossible!"
"Oh, right..." Fuuma smiled sheepishly. "It's hard to keep track of your side."
"Maybe he's reasoning wih Kanoe."
"Yeah, to stop all this fighting."
"What's wrong with fighting?"
"Quiet down, you guys, I think someone's picking up!"
The three fell silent, waiting for the conversation to begin.
"Yes, I'll still hold."
"Damn! Kamui, tell them to hurry it up! This *is* really important, isn't it?"
"Yes, the whole world hangs on this one call! But I can't rush her, she's really busy."
"So it's a woman."
"I told you, he's calling Kanoe!"
"No, he's not."
"Hey, what do you know, you broom-haired freak."
"Shut up! Don't *make* me raise my kekkai!"
"Hai, nee chan..."
"Hmph."
Yuzuriha walked in with Inuki, the inugami growling the moment it saw Fuuma.
"What's going on, why is Kamui pacing and...what is a Chi no Ryuu doing here!?"
"SHH!!!"
"Oh...gomen."
"He's on the phone with Kanoe--"
"No he's not!"
"They're talking out the situation--"
"But he was put on hold."
Yuzuriha gave the three a weird look, then grinned.
"Maybe we'll all be friends by the end of the night!"
Fuuma sniggered.
"Friends? With you? HAH!"
"Quiet!!"
Arashi was looking into the kitchen. The others followed her gaze. Kamui had stopped pacing and was talking excitedly to someone. The group of four inched closer.
"Hai...hai...can I really speak to her now?"
Sorata grinned and elbowed Fuuma in the ribs.
"It's Kanoe."
"Wow, I never thought I'd actually get through!"
All of them strained forward to hear better.
"Hello? Yes, Miss Cleo?"
The thud from the four facevaults rang through the house.
Kamui walked silently in the hallway, cordless phone to his ear as he waited for a response.
