"You'll have to confund the examiner," laughed Hermione, "why do you want to do this anyway?"
"Come on Hermione, Rose starts at Hogwarts this year, and we can't apparate with all her stuff. I mean I suppose you could, but driving is a lot easier and if dad can do it, well so can I," replied Ron, "and I can do it without confunding the driver."
A month later...
'Right,' thought Ron, 'check the mirrors and do up the seatbelt. Maybe I should confund that examiner; I think I can do it, but just to be sure. Hermione won't suspect a thing at least I hope she won't, but if I wait till we're out of sight...'
The examiner walked up to Ron, "Hello sir, are you ready to take the test?"
"Uh, yeah, yeah, I can do this."
"Nerves, huh? You're not the first."
The pair walked towards the car and go it. Ron murmured, "Confundo," as he did up his seatbelt.
Feeling a lot less stressed Ron did his checks, forgetting to look in the wing mirrors, which went unnoticed by the examiner.
Half an hour Later...
"Well," demanded Hermione, "how did it go?"
"It went fine, I passed so we'll be driving to Kings Cross," said Ron, grinning.
"And you didn't even have to confound him, I am so proud of you Ron. I just knew you could do it, you just had to work hard and study."
"Yeah, well, it isn't really a big deal."
"You forget to do anything Ron? Did you check all the mirrors?"
"Hermione relax, I don't need mirrors. That's what Supersensory charms are for."
"As long as you don't kill us, or anyone else, I suppose we'll be fine."
September 1st...
Ron pulled smoothly in to the parking spot.
"Let's go find them," said Rose and Hugo gleefully.
