Summary: My answer for who Jacquelyn may have been to Arvin Sloane...

Author's Notes (Revised):Okay, it appears I was right in my guess that Jacquelyn was the daughter Arvin and Emily Sloane lost years ago.
Please note that I have update the spoilers to episode 4.19 "In Dreams". I certainly won't be using everything they established in this episode for my story but there were a FEW things from this episode I DO want to use.
This fic will deal heavily with Arvin and Emily Sloane I am afraid, though other characters such as Sydney, Jack, and Laura Bristow will all make appearances.

Present Day
Since she had learned of Jack's illness due to the radiation poisoning he had suffered saving her life, Sydney had been supportive of her father. She had stayed with him, despite his protests, after he had finally had to go into the hospital. She knew he hadn't wanted her to see him so weakened but the truth was there was a very real chance he could still die and Sydney knew she wasn't ready to say goodbye to her father yet. She couldn't afford to waste any time he might have left by staying away.
"Dad, who's Jacquelyn?" Sydney asked all of a sudden on a day that Jack had rest been resting comfortably all morning. She didn't know where the question had come from, but she had been curious as to who it was since Sloane had given her than name as his security code. She watched her father's face as she asked this question, and she thought she saw a flash of sadness cross his face before it quickly vanished.
"Where did you hear that name?" Jack asked, his voice neutral.
"From Sloane," she replied and quickly explained what had happened on the mission to Santiago. "I asked him if I was supposed to know who that is. He didn't answer me. So, Dad, do you know who Jacquelyn is...or was to Sloane?"
Jack nodded, "Yes, I do."
"Well who was she?" Sydney prompted when Jack didn't continue.
"She was my goddaughter," Jack answered simply.
Sydney thought on this statement and was puzzled, "Wait, your goddaughter?"
"Sydney, Jacquelyn was Arvin and Emily Sloane's daughter..."
