Mairon: The dark maia travels along a road leading to the Mirkwood forest, his eyes focused on the road in front of him. His thoughtful mood deepens when he enters the forest. His mind goes back to the events of the War of the Ring. He wonders why his soul was brought out of the void by Eru Ilúvatar. He wonders what he could have done to deserve such mercy from Ilúvatar. He was the lieutenant of the darkest being of all: Melkor. He did everything Melkor asked of him: even murder & corruption. Mairon shakes his head rapidly to clear it of the thoughts he is now finding rather disturbing. While he is very grateful of Ilúvatar for what he has done in bringing Mairon back to Arda but Mairon wonders what Illuvatar's goals in bringing him back. Why would Ilúvatar want me back among the beings I've wronged…beings who obviously want revenge against me? Mairon sighs deeply as he travels through the forest & shakes his head to clear it of his thoughts of payback from the beings of Arda.
