A Special Meaning

'Yuki?' Touya's softly spoken question stopped Yukito mid-flow, the young boy had begun to tell Touya what had happened to him today and had rambled on for ages, with no inclination to stop. Touya however had plans to keep on track with. 'Its getting late'

Looking at the clock in his sparse living room, Yukito looked at Touya sheepishly 'Sorry To-Ya. I guess you need to get home if you have work tomorrow'

'Actually,' Touya replied rising slowly from his seat on the couch next to Yukito, 'I'm not working tomorrow or anytime over the next 3 days'

Yukito watched Touya rise and move towards the door, which led to the kitchen. 'Then you can stay for a while?'

Touya just smiled and walked into the kitchen, Intrigued Yukito followed.

When Yukito got to the kitchen what he saw left him, for once, speechless. After a tense five minutes, during which Yukito had done nothing but open and close his mouth like a fish out of water, Touya finally broke the silence, 'Yuki?'

Coming out of his trance like state Yukito launched himself into Touya's arms with an exclamation of 'I love you!'

Kissing Touya enthusiastically Yukito attempted to show the taller boy just how much he appreciated his thoughtfulness. After the initial shock of being pounced on Touya recovered enough to respond to his boyfriend's passionate display of affection.

'I'm glad you like it; Touya said smiling as the two men finally drew apart.

'My kitchen is covered in all sorts of candy! How could I not like it?' Yukito gazed around in awe.

Sure enough every surface in the room from the sideboards to the table even the chairs were covered in all sorts of chocolate, cake and sweets.

Touya smiled and tightened his arms around Yukito's waist. 'I hoped you'd like it. ' Leaning down he whispered 'Happy Anniversary Yuki'

Yukito's eyes widened as he leaned back in Touya's arms.

'Its been a whole year since our first 'official' date, though it seems to have gone by much faster.'

'To-Ya' Yukito sighed his eyes softening as he saw the love and sincerity shining back at him from Touya's face.

'I know I'm still not great at opening up and I can still be a grouch at times, but I do love you Yuki more than I ever thought I could'

Yukito pressed a soft kiss to Touya's mouth, 'I know' he whispered, 'You tell me everyday with the thoughtful things you do. I don't need fancy words To-ya, I just need you. That's all I've ever needed.'

Touya smiled at his love, 'Well you have me now and forever' he said placing a light kiss on Yukito's lips, 'And you also have me for the whole weekend. No work, no Sakura and no annoying stuffed toy'

Yukito's smile brightened ' You're staying here for the whole weekend?'

'The whole weekend! No interruptions from anybody' Touya's eyes gleamed as he watched the realisation of what that meant dawn on Yukito. He smiled to himself as he scooped up Yukito to carry him into the living room, stopping just long enough for him to grab a cake on the way.

Once they were settled on the couch, with Yukito snuggled up against his boyfriend and the cake on his lap, they turned on the television. Neither of them were really paying it any attention they just liked being close. With college, work and family obligations they didn't get to spend much time alone so when they did they cherished it.

It wasn't long before Yukito's eyes began to droop and shortly after that he fell into a deep contented sleep. As soon as he was sure Yukito wasn't going to stir, Touya switched off the television, picked him up and carried him into the bedroom. Knowing nothing would wake him now Touya gently undressed Yukito and settled him into bed. Once he was sure he was settled, Touya undressed himself and got into bed with Yukito, wrapping himself protectively around him. Closing his eyes, Touya whispered a soft 'I love you' before joining his lover in the land of dreams.
