Ok, so the inspiration for this little oneshot came to me while I was playing Candy Crush and listening to country music…weird; but I couldn't get it out of my head! So I turned it into a fanfic! This is my first Korra fic; but I invite you to check out my profile and read some of my other stories! (Especially if you like Harry Potter and/or Teen Titans.)

Bolin looked up from playing with Pabu and; looking across Air Temple Island, saw Korra grooming Naga with Mako helping her. He couldn't hear what was being said between the couple; but whatever Mako said made Korra laugh.
If anyone were to ask Bolin if he had a crush on Korra; he would answer yes without the slightest hesitation.
As his gaze was brought back to Pabu; who was pulling on his arm so he would continue playing with him, his thoughts were still on his brother. Mako has always been the strong one; the one Bolin had been so dependent on after their parents died. Heck, Bolin was still dependent on him! Before their parents died Mako was always willing to play with Bolin and they had so much fun together. Bolin remembered that they would act silly together; and Mako was more carefree; not to mention that he smiled a lot more. However; things changed. All those years of hardship and poverty; trusting people who just betrayed them; being called street rats, they all left Mako emotionally shut off from people he didn't know. Bolin always just thought he was being strong for them; but he wasn't. He was hard because that's how he was treated. Bolin was too young to understand exactly what happened while they were on the streets; but it changed his brother.
Years passed and they became Pro-Benders, helping a little with money; but not much. Korra came to their group and Bolin fell in love with her. Mako wasn't so accepting. But after Korra became a Fire Ferret; Bolin noticed a tiny change in Mako's attitude. It was slight and Bolin wasn't even sure if Mako knew it was happening; but Bolin could see it. Once Mako and Asami started dating the change became greater. Bolin had thought it was Asami; but now he realized it was Korra, it was always Korra. They were polar opposites; so of course they're perfect together. Mako and Asami were pretty much the same person; death of family members did that to people, and they were compatiable; but, only as friends. Bolin had yet to accept that with him and Korra.
The more Bolin thought about it; the more he realized that Korra was good for his brother. She brought out the 'wild side' of Mako, the softer side, the one that Bolin liked just a little bit better. They relaxed each other and seemed to just work together in this weird way the Bolin would never be able to figure out. They were good for each other. Who was Bolin to ruin that by crushing on his brother's girlfriend?
Now; once they defeated Amon and peace was now over Republic City, Bolin noticed his brother was happy; a lot. Bolin has Korra to thank for that; she gave him his big brother back.
He looked up once again and saw Korra and Mako walking over to him; with intertwined fingers and smiling faces.
If anyone were to ask Bolin if he had a crush on Korra…he wouldn't know how to answer.
