Fly through the night sky, take the second star to the right and go straight on 'till morning. You'll find yourself in Neverland. Fly to the center of Neverland and you will come upon Pixie Hollow, the home of the fairies. It seems we have come upon the ancient arrival ceremony. Let's watch.
Vidia, a fast flying fairy, used her power over wind to bring the piece of dandelion fluff in the center of a stage-like area. Soon, a blonde sparrow man (boy fairy) brought forth a chalice of pixie dust and poured it over the fluff. After a few seconds, a beautiful fairy with long straight raven hair and alabaster skin sat up and stretched her long arms. A chorus of 'hellos' came from the gathered crowd, all of whom wanted to see what talent this new young one had. "H-hello?" she greeted back. She looked down at the garment that adorned her body. A strap-less, white gossamer dress, that pooled around her where she sat. She saw a flash of light out of the corner of her eye and looked to see a beautiful women in a golden glow.
"Born of laughter, clothed in cheer. Happiness has brought you here. Welcome to Pixie Hollow. My name is Queen Clarion." She said softly before helping the new fairy to her feet. With a wave of the woman's hand, a circle of mushrooms appeared and a group of fairies brought forth items, including a small cyclone, a ball of water, a flower, and a hammer. She noticed an older fairy bring forth another item and placed it in the middle of the circle: a silver tiara. "What are all of these?" the new fairy asked the glowing woman. "These will help you find your talent, little one. You may choose any you would like, though I ask you to try all of the talents in the outer circle before moving to the one in the center." came the reply from the queen.
With a nod of head, the young fairy stepped toward the flower, her long black hair just touching the ground. At the moment she touched the petal, it wilted. She held her frown and moved on. Soon, she had run out of items to test. Her heart was heavy with disappointment as she stepped toward the tiara. Before she got within arm's length, the silver piece rose up in the air and floated toward her before landing on her head and blasting a bright light. After the light dimmed, the young fairy heard a small laugh come from the fairy queen. "Fairies of Pixie Hollow, I want you all to express a warm welcome to the newest member of MY talent kin, Adrienne. I invite you all to a banquet in springtime square tomorrow evening in celebration. Now, let's see about these wings..." She said before moving behind the young fairy. With a sweep of her hands, Adrienne's wings started to glow with designs of tiaras and crowns.
This new fairy had performed a miracle, and she hadn't even been there an hour! Royal talent fairies were the rarest talents on Pixie Hollow. Only when there is a 'rare talent', or someone with exceptional power over their talent, for every talent in Pixie Hollow, will one royal fairy be born. The last royal talent fairy had been over 35 years ago, and she was still the queen to this day. When a new royal talent is born, he or she becomes the official heir to the throne of Pixie Hollow, and they learn exclusively from Queen Clarion herself. The reason royal talents are so rare is because the power they hold. Royals have the powers of every talent. They can make flowers grow, hold light and water, control pixie dust, even tinker. When the first fairies made the talents, they didn't want that much power to be common amongst the fairies, thus making the talent extremely rare.
