Daddy, I wuv you!

It was midnight. The house was still. No windows showed any light from inside the room. There wasn't the sound of laughter, or even of crying. The only noise was in the room on the third floor, down the hall, then you take a left, then a right... or was that a left? Anyway, you take a left; then it's the room at the end of the hall- the master bedroom. The door was cracked open a tiny bit, allowing the soft noise to drift through the house like a lullaby.

It was the soft rhythmical beat of breathing. More specifically, snoring. The snoring of a gentle man, a gentle man with his head against the fluffy white pillow. There was a lump next to him, or was it on him? It was his wife, she smiled in her sleep and her hands curled against his back. Down the hall there was a room, this room had two beds in it. One bed had blue sheets, a small boy asleep inside them. The bed across from that one- closest to the window, did not have a child sleeping in it.

It had instead, a small girl looking outside the window. She could be wishing on a star. She could be looking at the moon. She could be watching for cats. She was instead, watching the clock tower in the middle of town, the time was 11:59. The girl balled up her small white fists and grinned.

It seemed like an average night. Was it Christmas? Was it her birthday? It seemed like an average house as well, so it had to be one of those two.

But it was the Li household.

It was Father's day.

The clock struck.

Syaoran Li had been having a good dream. Not a perverted one, but a good one. In his dream, it was a wedding. The scene was perfect, the groom standing there looking nervous as hell, and did Syaoran smell fear? His lovely wife, Sakura, next to him trying not to cry. His son, Kaito, standing up there as proud as a Li man should be in the groom's men. Then his sweet little baby girl dressed in white and looking as angelic as her mother did forty years ago- Sakura was still the most beautiful woman alive to him. He recognized the dress. It was Sakura's dress. It was the dress that one of their best friends, Tomoyo, designed and practically twisted Syaoran's arm to make sure that Sakura would wear it. She warned him to make Sakura the happiest woman alive, to this day he wasn't sure if it was for her happiness or the fact that tears would ruin Sakura's make up and the dress. Tomoyo was a hard lady to decipher.

Sakura cried anyway. Syaoran cried too, later, in private.

Was he crying now? If he was, it was tears of joy. His baby, Miku, was crying her eyes out but managed to get the words 'I do' out. It was perfect, then Miku- and some boy who had no face, leaned in to kiss.

Then he lost the dream and his air was squeezed out of him.

"Ooophf!" He groaned as something jumped onto his stomach. He felt the bed shift. Sakura's hands left his back and she sat up.

"What's going on..?" She mumbled half-asleep. Syaoran grunted and opened his eyes. He met with matching amber ones. They were pure and innocent. Suddenly, his brain came back to him. He was back in the present, thirty years away from his dream, and staring at his baby girl.

She wasn't getting married. She was still the little toddler who had immense control of him.

"Daddy!" She cried out in a gurgly voice.

"Wha-ophmf!" She jumped up and down on his stomach. Sakura stood off to the side giggiling and feeling warm inside at the sight.

"Hawwy daddy day! I wuv you!" She said tackling Syaoran in a bear hug. He winced at the pain but the sight of his loving little girl made it all go away.

"I love you too." He said hugging her back.
