Mrs. Lovett's pov
Lucy and I were in the pie shop when a costumier came in. He had a dark gray face, with small bags under his eyes. He had black slick hair with a dim white streak at the right of the mess. He looked vaguely familiar but I didn't say anything about it.
"'ello deary, how may I help you?" I asked as his eyes darted around the shop.
"'ello ma'am. May I have a meat pie?" he asked softly.
"Of course. Meat or fruit?"
"Um... fruit" he answered and this time when I herd his voice, I think I figured who he was.
Lucy's pov
I heard his voice and, oh, it struck me like an arrow. It was Benjamin! It had to be! And the way his eyes sparkled… and the way he looks at me…
Oh, I just felt so much joy when that man walked in!
We invited him into the parlor. He sat down and he asked, "Is the room upstairs taken?"
"Yes, Lucy lives up there," Mrs. Lovett said
"Lucy?" he asked
"Yes I am Lucy," I answered back
"Lucy… Lucy and Johanna…" he spoke it like he remembered the names but couldn't comprehend them just right yet.
"And you are?"
"Sweeny Todd no...Ben...no...Sweeny Todd
