Bubblegum Babe
Tonks and Charlie Growing up together, a beautiful friendship that I envy and love.
Disclaimer: Tonks and Charlie are beautiful creations of J K Rowling; I don't own Harry Potter… I wish I did though.
At the age of 4 Tonks was already bored of being an only child, she enjoyed the attention off her parents, especially her Dad but she was always bored of playing on her own.
Her mother ,Andromeda, said she knew a lady with two little boys around the same age of Tonks and had another baby on the way, Tonks was very sceptical about them both being boys but she wanted some friends who knew about magic so she could use her special morphing talent. She agreed and her mum arranged a play date with the two boys, they would be going round to Tonks House at 12:00 for lunch the next day.
The next day Andromeda got busy baking cakes and special food for the play date, she made some pretty cupcakes, Tonks liked the bubblegum pink frosting on the cakes and changed her hair colour to match, then Andromeda remembered that they were both boys coming over and being so young they would say pinks a girls colour so she got busy once again making blue frosting cupcakes. At 11:59 Andromeda had prepared a feast on the kitchen table and she waited for her guests to arrive.
At 12:10 there was a knock at the door there stood Molly Weasley "Sorry we're late, somebody was in the garden climbing a tree and wouldn't come down." Molly said turning to face the smaller of the two boys and giving him an annoyed, stern look.
"Oh, I wonder who that could have been, " Andromeda said laughing.
The smaller one of the two boys looked up mischievously and said "it was Bill, Charlie wouldn't ever do that!"
"You must be Charlie then." Said Andromeda who already knew it was Charlie who had climbed the tree" you'd better get inside and have something to eat of you've been doing all that climbing."
"Oh yes the tree was really high he said ruining past her into the hall, he looked both ways as if to cross the road and ran to the left into the living room, His mother and Tonks laughing at this energetic little boy.
He ran into the living room colliding with a pink haired girl who was about the same height to him falling to the ground alongside her.
"Who are you!?" Asked Tonks sitting up.
"I am the one and only almighty Charlie Weasley, and who are you?"
"I don't like my real name so I won't tell you but lots of people call me Tonks."
"Come on you can tell the stranger you just met your name." Said Charlie smiling.
"No, but if we are good friends soon then I will." Said Tonks
"Ok, shake on it." He said holding out his hand dripping with spit, Tonks spat on her hand and shook his.
"Tonks, Charlie." Called Andromeda "Food!"
The two children looked at each other and Charlie's eyes glittered.
"Race ya" he said.
"You're on" she said.
With that both the children raced to the kitchen.
This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
A/N: I know this chapter is short but the next ones will be longer. This is the first fanfiction that I've ever written about Tonks and Charlie growing up, and would really appreciate reviews as I would like to know where I have gone wrong so I can fix it. Thank you for reading.
