Title: The Edge Of Darkness
Rating: K+ or T
Warning: Character death, blood and so on. Also contains the tiniest bit of yaoi if you squint
Characters: Prussia, Canada ( Human AU)
Summary: He remembers him. The boy with the indigo eyes. The boy which he might have destroyed. The boy which he cared about the most
Disclaimer: If I owned Hetalia, it would have turned into a yaoi manga long ago
The Edge Of Darkness
Just another boy standing on the edge
Just another boy who happened to be there
I don't know
If I saved you
Or destroyed you
Beer and champagne
A perfect cocktail
Bitter yet sweet
Just like you
Red
The colour of anger, the colour of my eyes
Your blood
Was black yet red when you slit your wrists that day
Did you feel not only anger
But black hatred as well?
Your eyes
They are blue
But not the bright blue of the summer sky
They remind me of the raging ocean
The color of mystery
Cerulean eyes are for the innocent
Are you?
Morphine
Your favorite
Your way of suppressing memories
Your way of hiding everything
I prefer procaine
I don't want to forget all
I don't want to dull all the pain
I'm scared
I'll leave you one day
I'll remember you by your eyes
Destruction
It's done
I'm to blame
Because I'm not the one
Yet I am
Because I can feel
I can see your dark side
I know what will happen
Black
The color of death
Are you dead?
No
You live
In my heart
AN: For those who do not understand the story, here's the poem written into normal writing
First stanza: Matthew is about to commit suicide as he is depressed from being ignored all the happens to be there and saves him. He then becomes Matthew's friend. As the first stanza is written when Matt is dead and Gilbert is reflecting on his past, he wonders if he was the cause of his death
Second stanza: Gilbert thinks that Matthew used to be sweet and kind, but the world has turned him bitter and cold
Third stanza: Gilbert thinks that Matthew is still hurting and he feels a deep hatred for those who wronged him
Fourth stanza: Gilbert thinks of Matthew's eyes, and he reflects on how he thinks Matthew is not innocent even though he looks naïve
Fifth stanza: Matthew has slowly spiraled downwards to using drugs. (Morphine is a very strong painkiller) Gilbert doesn't use such strong drugs as he is afraid of suddenly leaving this world one day. (Note: Gilbert was already an addict before Matt came into his life so in the first stanza he thinks he destroyed Matt by getting him into drugs)
Sixth stanza: Matt has already lost it by then and Gilbert knows he will kill himself in the end
Seventh stanza: Matthew is dead but Gilbert still remembers him forever
So..Good or bad? Review and let me know! Also, sorry for grammar mistakes if there are any! English is not my first language and the grammar here is different!
