So I wrote this for English and thought I'd post it. I'm not sure what to do with it yet, if you guys have any ideas let me know.
The Crater
Interesting. Very interesting. What was this thing? What was this hole in the ground? It didn't look like a whole.
No. Not at all. It had to more.
But, as it was 1951, who could know for sure? There was a group of about 24 or so people. But none of them looked to be scientists. None them carried any equipment with them to see what this thing might be.
Wait a sec… it that water? What would water being in this hole? Was it some kind of lake? This didn't make any sense to any of them. All anyone seemed to know was that there was a giant hold in the ground filled with water.
There green, leafy bushes on the other side of the carter; rocks and boulders, too. So this must've happened sometime ago for any vegetation to be growing in a crater of that size.
It seemed that the more this mysterious crater was studied and looked at, the more questions that seemed to pop up. It was getting more and more frustrating for everyone who looked on that there was more questions than answers at this point.
Oh so frustrating.
How? When? Why? So many questions that were being asked and so few answers were being given. People were so confused yet so curious.
It was mesmerizing how black the water that filled the looked. It was almost as if you could jump into it and be swallowed whole without a care in the world. How soft to the touch the leafy, green bushes looked. Without needing to communicate anything, people knew that this had once been a place of distraction and pain.
If didn't look that at all, now. It look beautiful, peaceful, and calm. Not one word was said between the group of complete strangers as they looked on in amazement and wonder.
Wonder and amazement that forever seemed to be a foreign mystery to them.
Love it? Hate it? Thoughts?
