Izzie was awakened suddenly by the shrill sound of her alarm clock going off. She had a massive headache, and couldn't even think straight. She'd give anything for an extra 5 minutes of sleep. As she reached out to hit the snooze button, her arm brushed against somebody lying next to her. Izzie's eyes snapped open. It took her a minute to realize that the stranger in her bed was George. At first she was confused. What was George doing in her room? Then, all the memories of the previous night came flooding back to her. She had slept with him. With George. Her best friend. This was bad. Very, very bad.

What would this do to their friendship? Could they survive this thing? The sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach didn't ease her worry. Look at what happened with Meredith. George wouldn't even look at Meredith for months after it happened. It had destroyed their friendship for a time. Yea, but the Meredith thing was different. George didn't love her the way he had thought he loved Meredith. And she had a much deeper friendship with George than Meredith had. They could get through this. They had to.

Oh no! Callie! That thought hadn't even crossed her mind. George was married. She had slept with a married man! This would kill George! He was such a good guy. So sweet and kind. He wasn't a cheater. George would never intentionally hurt Callie. But this could ruin their marriage. She could have potentially ruined George's marriage over one drunken night. She was right. This wasn't anything like the Meredith fiasco. This was so much worse.

She had to get out of there now. Thank God George was still passed out cold from the previous night. She didn't think she could handle talking to him right now. She wasn't ready to deal with the consequences of their drunken mistake quite yet. She needed a little more time to process what had happened. So Izzie quickly got dressed and raced out the door, pausing only for a second to stare in horror at the man sleeping in her bed.
