A Friend In Need.

He pushed me up against the wall, smashing my head on the wall. I didn't say anything, I just let him hit me. Repeatedly.

"You were out with him again weren't you?" Shane shouted in his jealous rage.

"And don't go saying 'were just friends' like you normally do! I want the truth!" He pressed me harder against the wall. I still hadn't said anything.

Well, I'm Mitchie Torres, and this is my life. I'm dating Shane Grey, the rockstar who thinks his girlfriend is cheating on him, so everytime I come back from being out with my best friend, Ryan Lee, he hits me, thinking I'm cheating on him. I did try to leave him, but he said if I did, he'd kill me. Yeah, I know what you're thinking, 'Shane Grey would never say that!' But you obviously don't know the real Shane.

"Mitchie! Tell me the truth!" Shane shouted louder.

"I have told you. He's my best friend, I'd never think of dating him" I whispered, tears streaming down my face from the pain. He hit me one more time and threw me to the floor. My head fell to my knees, tears coming non stop. Shane stormed out the front door.

Once I'd heard the car go out of the driveway, I got out my phone.

"C-caitlyn? Can you c-come over, I n-need to tell you something" I stuttered over the phone.

"So, when you broke your leg, it wasn't from falling down the stairs?" Caitlyn questioned. I shook my head.

"Mitchie, why hadn't you told me before?" Caitlyn asked, taking hold of my hand.

"Sh-Shane told me he'd kill me." I stuttered.

"Mitchie, we have to get you out of here."

"But, where should I go?"

I had no family around me. Both of my parents had died in a car crash 3 years ago, and all my family lived back in England, where I had grown up.

"You can come stay with me. I'm sure Nate wouldn't mind. We'll get you all cleaned up and give you some proper food." Caitlyn stood up and put her hand out for me. I grabbed her hand and finally realised that I'd found someone who actually cared.
