The three stared each other, the atmosphere tense.
Romano had loved Antonio. He had actually opened up himself to the other guy, and so to find him here with Gilbert broke his heart.
Of course this had been too good to be true. There was no way somebody would ever truly love him as much as Antonio had claimed to. It had been a dream.
And as he stood there, eyes narrowing dangerously the longer he looked at Antonio, he realized this one had just come to an end.
As Antonio shifted uncomfortably Romano finally turned his attention to Gilbert.
The two had become sort of friends in that Gilbert had enjoyed teasing him and Romano had enjoyed cursing to his heart's content without the little sounds of disapproval Antonio always gave. It hadn't hurt they both loved Antonio.
Romano had always though Gilbert's love was more of a familiar type though.
He'd thought his only threat had been Francis who wasn't shy about flirting with Romano's boyfriend for the entire world, including Romano, to see.
Obviously he had been wrong.
The calls, the nervous laughter, the 'prior arrangements' hadn't been thanks to Francis after all. No, they were the fault of the bastard standing to his right, seeming highly uncomfortable at the moment.
And he should feel uncomfortable, for Romano had come for answers and possible revenge.
It seemed he was going to get both.
And all the sudden Romano moved he moved towards Antonio, who was rather surprised and a little bit scared.
Romano didn't head butt his boyfriend, nor did he punch or kick him. He didn't even scream in his face. All the things that were trademark of an angry Romano.
No, Romano silently slipped his arms around Antonio in a hug.
Before Gilbert or Antonio could wrap their heads around what the hell was going on Romano leaned back so as to look into Antonio's face.
"I'd like my last dream to be dyed in red," he whispered. And then he stabbed Antonio with a knife he'd hidden.
As Gilbert watched in horror Romano then turned the knife on himself.
A/N: So I wrote this story based off of both the prompt 'The sad thing about dreams is that they always come to an end' and the song Acute by Miku, Luka, and Kaito.
I'd love it if people reviewed on this because it lets me know how well I'm doing as well as encourages me to publish more of my stories.
