This may be a little confusing, as it was written for school and I couldn't get too specific, but enjoy anyway! Soleil is Luna Lovegood's mother and Cove Courter is her best friend, Luna's soon to be godfather, as things occur on Rewind. Soleil belongs to Serena and Cove to myself, Chippy. =]

They were crazy and reckless. They had big plans and didn't understand reality. They had only what they had saved, and what they had been given. They had good intentions and naïveté and the happiest lives, because they didn't dwell. They had dreams and friendship.

Cove tapped his feet on the wooden deck; his face lit up. There was nothing to ruin the moment. There was too much feeling that came from the sea, the ship, the sun, the perfect adventures that flickered in untouchable thoughts through his head. It filled him so full that he could hardly breathe. It was too much. He was going to collapse and blow up and still be completely content for all time.

No one knew how it started, but it was a constant in their friendship that the two discussed adventures with ambition and vivid imagination. They believed that all their adventures were possible, and did not cling to things that would stop them. Searching for creatures was near the top of the list, and they planned to befriend even the most savage. They analyzed the little things in the air that controlled their emotions, and looked to colors for messages. Yet nothing surpassed piracy. Becoming pirates was the glory of it all, the one that they believed in more whole-heartedly than any of the rest.

The decision should have been hard. Cove had just parted with dear friends, his sister, his lover, and the husband that had watched his wife until her hair blended into the sun. But Cove did not hold current regret. In time the longing would hit, but he lived in these first few minutes with ease. He did not doubt that the ones on shore would be there when he came back, and the plans to bring a few aboard had already been laid out. But the start belonged to two.

His adult life would be there waiting as well. It was not a journey to run from anything, and the magnificent possibilities needed no justification with him. Their piracy would not be real. Greed and brutality did not exist in their new existence. They were PG imitations on purpose.

He took a deep, full breath and spun around, jumping lightly to starboard and to Soleil. Cove tried to speak, but instead he just laughed. His radiant hazel eyes spoke for themselves. Soleil gazed back in a peaceful response, her ever-present grin parading her face. Banana curls brushed the sides of her cheeks, flashes of porcelain skin escaping past her tangled strands. A gentle hand lay on her protruding stomach; her slender fingers caressing the joy snuggled within her. The places the baby could be born were endless and no beginning could be more fitting. The sea salt tickled her nose as she giggled along with her friend, for every second one was not at peace, it was one second less not worth living. "You're full of sunshine today," Soleil replied nonchalantly, her voice dropping to sweet hum. "Turn yourself towards sunshine, and the shadows will fall behind you," she murmured gingerly, shutting her eyes towards the open sea. "I'm glad we're on this adventure," she smiled, her eyes still closed. "Adventure is like the wind, you know. You can't see it, but you can feel it."

A breeze ruffled their hair and tickled Cove's neck. "It feels like the best kind of dancing."
