Ok: just a little poem I wrote from Gatsby's point of view. NOTE: was written before the song Remember me from Journey came out. Anyways, read, don't, really don't care

Remember Me

The sun is gone, young man staring at the green light

He's been standing there since twilight

The light is his hope, his dream, so close, yet so far away

He's come this far, though it's a heavy price to pay

He holds the party in hopes of seeing his true love

He knows she was sent to him from heaven above

Still, he remembers when she told him they could never be

He sits and thinks… remember me

How they danced, holding everyone's attention

Still, her husband got suspicious though he never mentioned

The man didn't care, he was lost in her, letting everyone see

He stares into her eyes, wanting nothing more than to say… remember me

He felt the presence all day, felt someone lurking in the shadows

The angel of death, came so quick, stooping below even his level

He sees his whole life, flashes before his eyes, before he stops breathing

His final thought… remember me

He's looking down, seeing his own funeral, feeling their pain

For he's fallen, taken his final bow, now he's slain

Daisy… Daisy… Daisy… he knows she's not there, but he tries to get a final message across the sea

Remember me
