Biggest Mistake

Something I thought up.

Kalmah took a deep breath. "Yes Tahu," he said, "I'm breaking up with you." Tahu gaped, tears beginning to brim in his eyes. "Why?" he exclaimed. After 2 years, why would Kalmah break up with him? He shook his head and walked away, leaving Tahu with a broken heart.

-15 years later-

Kalmah stepped onto the bright street of Ta-metru. Ever since had dumped Tahu, his life had gown downhill. He lost his job and bike. And his flat. He was lucky to live in an old, run-down apartment in the gang side of the city. He knew why. After he left Tahu, he found life a whole lot bleaker. He thought if he had pursed someone else, someone richer, more able to support him, he would get over it, but he couldn't. Point blank, he NEEDED Tahu, and he would stop at nothing to get him back.

He walked through the streets, knowing Tahu's house would be where he remembered, and rang the doorbell.

It was answered by a young girl, who couldn't be more than fourteen. "Who are you?" she asked. Kalmah gaped at her. She looked just like his love! Except her eyes…they were blue….like his….oh no.

"Athena, who's at the door?" another figure came to the doorway, and Kalmah's heart soared. Tahu! He came next to the girl and gaped. "Kalmah?" he asked. He nodded, not able to take his eyes off Athena. Tahu saw this and sighed. "She isn't yours. She was born a few years after we broke up." Another person came running down the door. He was a little boy, had to be about 8. "Come on Kohu." She said quietly, "This is an adult thing." The two walked away.

"What do you want Kalmah?" Tahu asked. "A second chance." Tahu shook his head. "You're to late." He said quietly. "I'm married, see?" he showed the ring, "I have three kids, and a life. I'm not cheating on my husband. And I never will." Before Kalmah could say anything, a voice rang out, "Who are you!" Kalmah whirled around to see a toa of ice standing there with what looked like a 4 year old in his arms. Tahu completely forgot that his ex was even there. He ran foreword and took the child, and started talking to him. Much to the delight of the child, who started laughing. Kalmah gave a sigh and walked away.

He had blown it. He left his love for a better life, which he lost. He didn't even have his old life. He didn't have Tahu, who made it clear he was better off without him.

What would he do now?
