Memoirs of a Plastic Horse

~FawkesRises

AN:  This is for all my fellow Capt Oats lovers over at f4f!  *waves*  There's a tiny bit of background info (or rather my version of background info for everyone's favorite horse).  I'm thinking of making this into a chapter fic (somewhat like a diary type/commentary thing) – what do you think?  If I do then the chapters will probably be a little short.  Review and let me know about the chappie thing though, will ya?  There might even be some action for my slashers in there, you can never tell. ^_^

Well, things have certainly not been boring around here.

And at the middle of it all – Ryan Atwood.

First the day or so he spent here, then there was the whole Seth getting drunk thing…Then it was finally decided he would stay.  For those first few days after he was like a hermit - always holed up in the poolhouse like it was Noah's ark and the forty days and forty nights weren't over yet.

Not that I blame the kid.

I was just being cautious,…concerned.  Seth had decided to adopt Ryan like the brother he's never had and, well…Seth's a little innocent for a sixteen year old (hey, I'm proof).  I didn't want him to get hurt.  I've been with him since he was seven.  That's a lot of history – and really Seth hasn't changed much since he was seven, at least in the trusting people thing.

But now, Ryan's actually letting people in; now he knows he has people that actually care about him.  I'm just glad he's not barricaded in the poolhouse anymore.  He's opened his doors, and (forgive my corniness) let some sunshine in.

Seth will do that to you.
