To Hell and Back
Bane watched from the rooftop of City Hall as Talia's red blazer disappeared at the building's enterance across the street. Like many days before and the remaining to come, They would meet each other from across the street and carry silent conversations that only they could hear. Never any physical contact nor words, just small hand signals and body languague.
That was all that was ever needed to share what love they had for each other.
Bane folded his arms at the chest and waited for Talia. They taught each other this unspoken languague long ago in another world where they dreamed of freedom that was never mentioned. Then again years later from the prying eyes for her strict father and loyal spies. Now again in the world they created.
As the minutes tickled away Bane remembered a promise that he made to Talia long ago. A promise that well soon come to pass like many others he made. This one however well claim their lives. It doesn't matter that they never lived the lives they wanted all that matter was that they lived, the few who could say 'We Survived, We Escaped'.
Talia appeared across from him. they made eye contact, Talia smiled and leaned against the ledge. Bane bowed his head in her honor as he always did. She nodded hers in return.
Talia opened the roof exit door and looked to her left, She made this trip 3 times a week in the last 4 months. Only she and Bane made knew this ritual, This was how they loved one another since the begining for her safety and his. This was the time that was completely hers, No one to ruin what they had, No rules, No past and No future, Just them and the time that was given.
She smiled widely for him as he saw her approach the ledge from across the street. They stared each other. They never spoke a word but every thought that they ever heard screamed loudly to their damaged hearts. In a crowded loud room he could hear her very thoughts and she could always hear his.
Tonight was the same.
'I've missed you today.'
'And I you.'
Talia closed her eyes and sighed.
Bane tilted his head.
'Do not fear, We're almost there.'
Talia sighed again before lefting her head as if she could feel Bane's caluosed hands lefting her head to look up at him.
'You always know.'
she smiled
Bane nodded.
'Well you follow me to the end?'
the question in her eyes was always the same.
Bane grabbed the corners of his vest and bowed again.
'To Hell and Back.'
