Sigh…

There was no doubt that Sasuke hated bubblegum. No – That was an understatement. He detested bubblegum. Who would like such a ridiculous thing, anyway? It was sweet, rubbery and would get stuck in your liver for six months when swallowed.

And what did Sasuke hate more than bubblegum? Sakura chewing it. Every once in a while she would blow a bubble and it would burst with that annoying Pop! Sound, smothering the gooey rubbery 'thing' all over her mouth.

That wasn't the worst bit though. Whenever the bubblegum did burst – all over her mouth – it would only draw Sasuke's attention towards his pink female teammate's luscious pink-puckered lips. Making it almost irresistible to lean in and kiss the heck out of her.

It had been about three months since his return. Of course, after being escorted by Konoha's ANBU's (Which he later found out as Neji, Shikamaru and two other fellows), attacked by a hyper Naruto, avoided by the villagers and yelled at by a certain Hokage, Sasuke finally managed to continue on with his life. Which he hoped would involve reviving his clan – as soon as he found a suitable wife.

It was only two weeks after his return that he first saw Sakura. After four years of separation. He saw her.

She was outside the Hospital – no doubt on her way back home or to the training grounds. Her hair was pulled into a loose bun, a few strands of ever-pink hair falling out with her bangs framing her heart shaped face. She was dressed in her red sleeveless shirt and a black skirt with a white doctor's coat. It was needless to say that Sasuke was stunned. She had matured so beautifully he could hardly remember who she was. All of her baby fat was gone, curves now developed with a womanly and confident touch to her outer façade.

However, Sasuke was not one to walk up to her first. No. He wouldn't. He refused to. So what if she was more attractive than ever? What if he could tell from the glances of the other men around him that she was definitely not the same girl? He was not going to make the first move. His pride refused to let him do so. So what did he do instead? He had hid beneath the shadows of a large tree, secretly glancing at her like a stalker.

A week later, he saw her again. She was shopping by the Konoha's Market District, hair loose, casual clothes on, with her ever-smiling face. Shopping for tomatoes.

Sasuke was definitely turned on.

But none the less, he didn't make a move to greet her. Or rather – he fled the market.

After a month and a half of his stay in Konoha, Sasuke started wondering why Sakura hadn't bothered him at all. She hadn't chased him down or visited him at all. He was sure she would have at least heard of his return to the village – the news had spread like wildfire after all. It would've been odd if Sakura hadn't at least heard of him. But nope. Nothing. No roses , hugs, hell, she probably didn't even see him when he saw her.

But they did finally meet though. And it was awkward. Well, for Sasuke it was. It had been mid-summer, when Naruto offered to treat him to some ramen. Not being able to refuse as he was broke and hungry, Sasuke had followed Naruto to the ramen stand. And there. Standing with all her glorious beauty was Sakura herself.

Sasuke was stunned for a moment. He had not prepared himself for their meeting. But then, suddenly, he remembered. He was Sasuke Uchiha. Why was he intimidated by meeting his teammate? His pink haired teammate? His pink haired, womanly, tempting, angelic teammate? So he sucked it up, placed his stony façade and simply nodded to her in a nonchalantly manner. Only to be dazzled by the blindingly beautiful smile she returned.

So here he was now, leaning once again (like the old days) on the railing of Team 7's bridge, waiting for Naruto & Kakashi (Along with Sai – but Sasuke refused to think that he was part of the team). Sakura was seated not too far from him, chewing away on her gum. Every so often Sasuke found himself stealing glances at the rosette as sunlight bathe them both.

'What the hell am I doing? Only love struck losers would steal glances!' Sasuke was of course, too stubborn to think about being in love. 'I. Am. Not. In. Love. With. Sakura.' He scolded himself.

'Okay. Maybe I am.' He thought in defeat.

Taking a breath, he turned to Sakura. "Sakura. Stop chewing gum."

The rosette turned to him, innocent eyes looking up at him. "Why Sasuke?"

"It's annoying."

Pop.

"Sakura. Stop."

Pop!

"Okay! That's it!"

And that's when Sasuke had enough. He leaned into Sakura's gum-smeared lips and pressed it onto his own mouth. Removing the gum affectively. With his lips, mouth and tongue.

Sakura sat, frozen, a light blush dusted her cheeks as Sasuke pulled back, gum inside his mouth, now. Sasuke chewed it for a moment, grimacing a bit before removing it from his mouth and tossing it in the trash.

"S-Sasuke…"

"Hn."

"You just removed my gum…"

"Aa."

"With your mouth."

"So?"

"Took you long enough."

So how was it? Let me know what you think! i'd really like it if there were some reviews left. It would totally make my day. It's my first One shot and Fluff so my apologies if it's too cheap.
