After Sarah had given their mum her lovely present James felt slightly embarrassed, as he had only made their mum a soppy card. Thinking quickly, James told his mother that he had something really special for her, something really nice. Although he had no clue what...

Meanwhile, Station Officer Steele was on the cliff tops searching for old coins with his metal detector. Sam and Elvis drive past in Jupiter and Elvis went over to Station Officer Steele, Elvis accidentally made him drop what he suspected to be a coin. Although Elvis apologized, he still felt really bad for what he had done.

Station Officer headed off for some fish and chips for lunch from the cafe.

James walked down the street, what was he going to get for his mum?

Deep in thought, he walked right into Station Officer Steele who was coming round the corner. He was carrying a pole with a circle on the end of it.

"What's that you've got there

Station Officer Steele?" James asked.

"It's a metal detector, it finds precious coins," he replied.

"Oooo," said James, "Can I borrow it, and I'll look after it, please?"

"Ok, but stay away from the cliffs, they're dangerous," cautioned Station Officer Steele.

Still feeling bad for Station Officer Steele, Elvis decided that he would go and bury the coins from his piggy bank; he hoped it would cheer him up. Sam offered to give him a lift up to the cliffs; he said he would have a walk along the beach as he was there.

James ran along the beach, metal detector in hand. He had to find something for his mum's birthday. It was hopeless; all he could find was some rusty screws and a bottle top. He was on the verge of giving up when the metal detector let out a rapid beeping. James grabbed his spade exited; suddenly there came a rumbling from above him...

Fireman Sam let out a deep breath, it was always nice to come down to the beach for a minute or two during a quiet shift. He walked a bit further down the beach and saw James digging in the sand; he heard the rumbling before he even saw what was happening.

"James, watch out!" he yelled,

Leaping up to him and pushing James out the way of the tumbling rocks. All the rocks fell in front of him - hitting his arm and pinning him to the wall.

...

"James get help!" Sam shouted, he wasn't used to being on this side of the action.

Soon, Sam could hear the ever so familiar sirens approaching. Not long after that: Penny, Elvis and Station Officer Steele arrived at the beach, one by one the rocks were lifted from around him. The firefighters put up a temporary tarpaulin.

"Sam, are you alright?" called Penny.

"Yes, I'm fine," he replied, "I not injured, I'm just trapped."

The firefighters removed most of the other rocks and Penny helped Sam out. She noticed his arm, which was bleeding and scratched.

"I thought you said you weren't injured," she mused.

"It's nothing," replied Sam

"Looks quite nasty to her me, at least let me look at it when we get back to the station," Penny said kindly.

Sam agreed, finally and let Penny wash and dress it when they got back.

Meanwhile, James was taken back home empty handed except for a strict telling off; he shouldn't have been the cliff.

When he had finished his shift Station Officer Steele was persuaded to go with Elvis for one last look for coins. Luckily he found some old ones but weirdly they never found Elvis' coins.
