So I started this story years ago, and I have decided that I am going to continue this story and bring it up to date with everything in the series (including the Bloodline series.) Basically, I'm rewriting it because looking at this story now makes me cringe. A lot of things will be different, and hopefully better. I've actually been to college now and I feel like I can accurately continue this story!

Thank you all so much, MakeMeProud

PROLOGUE

"Seriously, Lissa. Are you kidding me?" My hand swiped over my face as I looked at my computer screen. "You want to go into politics? Politics?!"

Lissa sighed and put down the half folded sweater onto her suitcase. "Its political science. And yes, I want to go into politics. I'm the Queen!" Her thin hands then continued to fold her sweater meticulously into a neat cube so it would fit with the rest of her clothes, all perfectly folded into tiny squares, in the large purple case.

"You realize I have to do the classes with you, right?" I asked, flopping down onto the couch across from her bed.

"Oh come on," Lissa laughed. "It will be fun!"

I stared at her blankly. "Lissa...its political science! The two things I can't stand! Science and politics! Ugh and now they put them together," I grumbled, rubbing at my eyes. "Who would do that to a person?" I touched my chin to my knees in a pout and sighed again.

"A person who wants to learn about the science of politics." Lissa fluffed a skirt. "Maybe you'll learn something."

"I already did that. It was called St. Vladimir's Academy."

"What, where you learned to hit people?" she smirked.

I raised my head to glare at her properly. "Yeah," I barked. "Thats where I learned to keep you safe."

She paused, a blouse hanging limply in her hands, and smiled gently at me. "I'm sorry. You're right."

"I know I am," I mumbled.

A gleeful look played in Lissa's jade eyes as she walked across the room to me. "But we'll be together everyday." Her arms wrapped around my shoulders as she fell on top of me, smothering me with affection, and I giggled. "We'll have lots of fun, going to parties, joining clubs..."

"Yaaaay," I moaned into her shoulder.

She kissed my head and started to tickle my sides. "Ooh! Maybe we'll even join a sorority!"

"You're already in one. Its called the Royal Court," I wheezed dramatically. She didn't weigh that much, but the elbow in my ribs was definitely uncomfortable.

She laughed and stood back up with a small apology. "But just think, Rose, of all the adventures we can have!" Her eyes were filled with so much joy that I couldn't possibly not smile. She was radiant. There was no way I was going to dampen that.

"Okay, okay," I said, conceding defeat with raised hands. In truth, the idea of college sounded fun. It was something I never saw myself doing, but why close a door if it was open for me?

"You all packed up?" Lissa asked as she walked back over to her bed and zipped the large case closed.

"Eh, for the most part," I said, shrugging casually.

"So the answer is no." She put her hands on her waist and looked at me disapprovingly.

"Okay, fine!" I stood up abruptly, grabbed my laptop, and left her bedroom at a quick pace. "I'll be ready in an hour!" I shouted as an afterthought.

"You better be!"
