(A/N- This was written in about five minutes, and I know it looks really short, but I write very short paragraphs, so... Enjoy! 3 Oh, and this is at the end of Half-Blood Prince. And, yes, it does stray from the story line.)

"I hate you, Malfoy!" I shouted as I stormed into his bedroom, my boots making obnoxiously loud noises as I stomped across the floor. He had turned my best friends against me, and promised You-Know-Who he would kill my headmaster. I can't believe I even slept with the slimy little rodent in the first place! What good did that bring me?

He looked up from his desk and decided to acknowledge my presence. I continued to storm over until I was close enough to slap him right across that pretty face of his and leave a rather unattractive red hand-shaped mark on his cheek. "What the bloody hell is wrong with you?" he shouted.

"Like you don't know!" I stomped down on his foot, and he flinched. "You turned my best friends against me, and now my headmaster is dead!" I shouted, bringing my knee forcefully into his... hard groin. Pervert.

His knees buckled, and her clutched his private parts. "Hermione! I didn't do it, Snape did!"

"I can't believe I even decided to give you a chance in the first place! You're nothing but a slimy rodent!" I seethed. "You can't do anything without screwing it up, you can't say anything to anyone without making an ass out of yourself, and you most definitely do not know how to treat anyone with decency and respect!" My vision blurred and tinted red with my complete and total, unadulterated rage.

He got to his feet. "Hermione," he said in his velvet voice. I was tempted, but I held my ground.

"Don't 'Hermione' me! That doesn't work anymore, Malfoy!" I almost never called him Malfoy when we were alone, it was only for when we were fighting. My words were clear, but I was torn. Was it really a lie? Did he really have a choice? Or did he get sucked into it, forced to become one of them? Everything I had been so sure of before was now nothing but questions and contradictions. I wasn't even sure of who I was anymore.

"Hermione," he said again, moving forward slowly.

"Stop saying that! I'm not going to-" before I could get out the word "crack" he was kissing me, melting me with his lips. I whimpered in defeat. He pulled his lips away and rested his forehead on mine.

"I never had a choice," he said in a whisper. "I was sucked into it. If I hadn't agreed to it, I wouldn't be standing here right now, holding you," he admitted.

Tears filled my eyes and I suddenly found it hard to breathe. Suddenly being told that everything you thought you knew about someone was a lie isn't the easiest thing. "But, you couldn't even refrain from calling me these... terrible names? You've been nothing but an ass to me until we started seeing each other," I whispered. "But when we were in private you would just get so angry," I choked on my words.

"I couldn't stand hurting you," he said quietly. "I figured the only way I could even make this easier on you was to make it almost obvious I was one of them. But I just ended up hurting you more," he breathed, resting his hand on my neck. "I love you."

I collapsed on the inside. My fortress was destroyed. There was no denying it, I was completely in love with Draco Malfoy. "I love you, too."

He wrapped his arms around my waist and lifted me up to kiss me again.
