"Neku, I found the perfect outfit for you!" Joshua nearly sang. He held up a Lace-up Dress for his partner, and the entire store, to see.
"Quit it. We're here to get the Kaleidoscope pin, and that's it. As soon as we find it, we can leave." Neku continued to shift through the piles of clothes and various other pins, with no luck in finding the one he needed.
"I don't think it's here." Joshua folded the dress and hung it over his arm.
"No shit. We're going to have to ask the clerk in a minute..." Neku sighed, making his way to the front of the store.
"You look for pins in some odd places, Neku. Lapin Angelique? If someone sees you in here, they might get the wrong idea," he laughed. The most irritating laugh on Earth. Guaranteed.
"What, that I'm like you?" Neku snarled. He finally reached the clerk at the front of the store. "Hey. Do you have the Kaleidoscope pin?"
"Yes, sir, we do. Princess K will be right back. Princess K will go get your pin from the back room," and with that, she was gone.
"She's quite an odd one, hmm, Neku?"
That was even worse than his laugh. The way, nearly every other sentence, he had to state who he was talking to. This boy had to have been the devil's spawn or something.
Joshua grabbed Neku's wrist and dragged him down an empty aisle. He looked around quickly to see if anyone was watching, only to realize that the store was deserted save for their presence and the now-missing Princess K. Joshua grabbed Neku's other wrist and held both of his arms over his head as he forced him into the wall, lined with fancy lolita dresses. Neku, pinned to the wall, opened his mouth to yell for help, only to be stopped by Joshua's lips meeting his own. And Joshua took full advantage of the fact that Neku's mouth was already open. When they finally broke apart, the only spoken words were from Neku.
"What, were you trying to choke me?!"
Joshua took several casual strides back to the front of the store.
"Get back here! Don't you dare ignore me!" Neku chased after the silver-haired boy.
"Neku, I am not ignoring you. I am being a well-mannered customer."
Neku turned the corner at the end of the aisle to see Princess K standing by the counter with the Kaleidoscope pin.
"Princess K does not approve of such actions in the store," she frowned.
"Great, you're getting us kicked out of the store. Can we at least buy the pin first?"
"I'm not the one acting up, Neku. You were the one running in the store."
"Running? What about--" Neku was cut off by Joshua elbowing him in the side.
"I apologize for his misbehavior, ma'am. We'd like to buy that pin and one other item, and then we will be out of your hair." Neku walked outside and stood by the door, waiting for Joshua. After 10 minutes or so, he finally left the store, carrying a large shopping bag.
"What else did you buy?"
"You'll see, Neku dear." Joshua laughed his irritating laugh and pushed the arm of the Lace-Up Dress back into the bag.
