Something always bothered me about Devoted from season 4. This is what I would have liked to have seen.
I do not own anyone-sadness ensues.

"What is it now Miss Sullivan?"

I swore I had her tracked. She wasn't supposed to be in the hall for another five minutes, giving me the proper time to leave unnoticed, not bothered by her pesky journalistic ways.

Why can't a man have coffee and a mini stroll in peace?

" I'm doing a report on what happened today for the Torch. I just wanted to get your insight on what happened back there in the locker room. A faculty member was almost blown away. Aren't you concerned? You are the principal "

Here we go. I should have known this was coming

"Miss Sullivan I can assure you that this was a fluke. It will not be happening again. No charges are being-"

" How can you assure me? Will there be any changes to the security measures? I am really disturbed by how he was able to even bring a gun in the building. I don't feel very safe here anymore."

She was not letting this one go so easily. She had look of determination in her eyes.

"If I did anything-added security checkpoints, I would have complaints from every student here, declaring how I am infringing on their rights. Parents would be furious and check them out of this school. It's better-"

"I rather have a security check point than be blown away in the lunch line, sir." She was getting emotional. Her eyes started to show fire, her fist were clenching and her voice was rising.

"Do I have to remind you who are you talking to here? I could have you suspended you if you show me disrespect. Do not take that tone with me. No charges are being held and the student was dealt with."

"So? With all due respect the gun was fired more than once. It was lucky no one was hurt or walked in. What if it does happen again? But it is worse and someone dies? Will it still be infringing on rights to have a security officer to walk the halls?"

This was becoming quite bothersome. I rubbed the bridge of my nose and closed my eyes, taking in a deep breath and exhaling.

"No changes will be made at this time. They are unneeded. Conversation over. Have a good afternoon."

Free at last. I was about to turn and walk to the wonderful door leading outside.

"It gives me such a warm feeling having you -" Her speech was cut short by being pushed aside by my newly arrived saviors.

Out of nowhere the Kent boy and the new student-what was her name? Leanne? Saved me.

"Chloe! Let's go home! Now." Leanne grabbed her around the shoulders and smiled at me before dragging her away.

"Guys I was-"

"Chloe you said you'd help me homework. Remember?" Kent gave her a look and they all walked down the wonderful hall

I must fire whoever told me about her hallway routines. This was a mistake that shant happen again.
