They keep in time to the music, each step perfectly done, each twist and turn matching the rhythm of the beating drums.

Romano holds his breath as Antonio dips him low. They turn and step together with the music again. They rest their foreheads against one anothers. "Te amo" Antonio whispers to him. "Ti amo, bastardo" he says breathlessly in return.

No matter how much he insults the spanish man, it never seems to matter to him. Antonio still smiles and tells him he loves him. He always holds him and tells him sweet things and loves him more than Romano could have thought possible.

And then they dance, and it's always like this. Antonio holding him close as they sway and turn to the music that fills the room. Romano holding his breath as he's dipped low, eyes closing when he's spun, face slightly red when Antonio holds him close as they step in time to the music and Tonio whispers he loves him over and over.

Romano would never admit it, but he loves more than anything when they dance together. Just the two of them moving to the music, lost in their own world of just each other, not even thinking to remember the steps that come naturally to them, like breathing. Even when they first song ends and the next begins they don't pause for a moment, shifting their steps smoothly to match the rhythm of the new song. Still in their own world.

Even when the music stops all together they sometimes keep going. They don't care, they don't need the music, bodies in sync to the imaginary tune that plays as they keep dancing. "Te amo, mi Lovino" Antonio tells him again. "Ti amo bastard," he said before adding "The music stopped awhile ago." "Si, I know" Antonio replies, and they keep dancing.

Lost in their own little world of just each other.
