I was known for my extreme patience, but even people like me ran out of the latter at one point or another. And that moment had come. I never knew hate could come in such a beautiful form. She was breathtakingly gorgeous but all of her sexiness couldn't cover up all the bad things she was. She manipulated, she lied and most importantly she stole my job.

'Good morning' she said, when she saw me enter the room, yeah she was polite but I could see right through her. I just passed by her and walked straight toward the other side of the desk. 'I categorized all the patients by urgency and importance.' 'Miss Davis is waiting in examine room 4' she informed me.

I just nodded and thanked her. She was smart, I'd give her that much. As I stepped toward examine room 4 to check on my patient I noticed Rachel packing her bags, and Addison handing her a cheque. It striked me as weird so I changed my course and moved over next to Addison. 'What's going on?' I asked.

'Rachel is leaving,' Addison told me, 'since you're back, we don't need her anymore.' As much as I was relieved I was even more surprised. I hated her, Naomi hated her but Addison and Sam loved her, she was –aside from the fact that she was just a bad person- a great assistant and lobbyist.

'Unless you'll be needing her?,' Addison asked, but on a suggestive tone. Already knowing why I'd be needing Rachel, 'I mean, now that you're officially a midwife, you'll need an assistant and we need a lobbyist'. She finished.

'Wait what?,' Rachel picked on, 'I get to stay?'.

'You'll be under Dell's command, you'll be reporting everything to me or Sam and you'll have a set pay,' Addison turned to face me, 'if he wants you.' It seemed as if Addie knew what I was thinking.

I didn't want Rachel, I hated Rachel. But I'd be needing help, and she was a great assistant. 'I'll take it.' I deliberately said. I handed Addison my file and said it sounded more like her kind of thing. Honestly I hadn't even looked at the file, I just saw this as a great opportunity to ask Rachel about things, things I'd been dying to know.

'You're happy to stay?' I questioned. 'Oh yes, I enjoy working here and the people here are all so nice.' 'I'm sure they are' I replied with a sarcastic smirk in the end. We walked into my office, and I instantly turned on the radio, of course it was Jason Mraz, typical, that guy always came on when he wasn't wanted, I was dying for some Three Days Grace or Linkin Park, but no, the sound of I'm Yours came slamming through the speakers.

I sat down, taking a piece of paper to write down some stuff, as I saw her sitting down herself. How dare she? How dare she come into my office and sit down on my chair? 'Look, I know you hate me.' She suddenly said. 'I don't hate you' I lied. 'It's clear that you do, and that's fine, I'd be pretty pissed too when I'd find out that I'm replaceable, but just so you know I'm honoured to be your follow-up.'

She knew her way around the words, but that didn't change that – okay maybe she was nicer than I'd been holding her for. I could at least give her a chance. And so I did and for the next few days everything went its normal way around the practice; Cooper played baby-doctor, Violet sincerely told Mr. Woodall that he would be needing to take those pills in order to save his life, Pete feng shui'ed his way through life and all the others just did as to what seemed to be the right thing to do. But me and Rachel, let's just say we still weren't all touchy feely just yet.
