JAM
Caller I.D
Jim got into his car with a strained expression on his face. Today was probably one of the most stressful days in his life. His alarm clock decided not to wake him up, so he ended up being an hour late for work. Dwight, of course, was not pleased. Jim didn't care too much about missing an hours worth of work, but he was mostly annoyed over the fact that he didn't have his daily coffee, and that there was none left in the office. He was barely able to make any sales today; nobody was buying. It was a Tuesday, so he had three more days of work left in the week, and he didn't know if he could take it. Andy kept humming the wedding march, which just made him realize that he had to wait longer for his wedding.
Not a great day.
Jim started the car. He let out a groan as he pulled onto the road heading to his place. It wasn't far away, but there was just so much traffic that he didn't want to drive through. After about five minutes of driving, he found himself sitting in what looked like two hours worth of traffic.
Ten minutes later he was still in the exact same spot. He turned on the radio, but there was nothing good on. He looked around for his iPod, but then realized that he left if at home. He leaned his head on the steering wheel and sighed. The traffic was just egging his continuous bad mood on. It had been nine days since he saw Pam. Sure, he'd been away longer before, but that didn't mean that he didn't missed her.
Finally traffic started to move, and Jim smiled. Just a minute later it stopped again. He sighed and leaned his head against the window. He was exhausted and running on six hours of sleep a night. It was hard to sleep without Pam by his side.
After about ten more minutes of sitting in traffic, his cell phone started to ring. He picked it up and looked at the caller I.D. His face immediately lit up when he saw who it was.
Pam.
He pressed the green button and held the phone to his ear.
"Hey, Jim!"
Jim smiled. Immediately, all the stress from that day went away. Hearing her voice and reading her name made everything okay.
Wasn't Thursday's episode adorkable?! I loved the last line, "I'm not that guy, and we're not that couple." I won't say anymore for those of you who have yet to have seen it, but I definitely thought it was Jammy. How did you guys like this one-shot?
