Summary: It's always the same. Sometimes Itachi gets bored repeating the same welcoming speech every time a new guest checks into his Tsukuyomi genjutsu.

Disclaimer: Naruto belongs to Kishimoto-sama. I, sadly, will never own it, so that is why I must resort to writing fanfiction.

72 Hours of Chaos

It's always the same. Sometimes Itachi gets bored repeating the same welcoming speech every time a new guest checks into his Tsukuyomi genjutsu. He's generous enough to carefully explain the impending torture, and the rules for his illusion world in a pleasing way. But it's not like his playmates ever appreciate or remember much of it by the time they check out. What a shame. Sometimes he wishes his elegant words aren't wasted on deaf ears, or the duller kunai in the pouch.

But this is different. It's his little brother. Itachi usually doesn't get return visits. He's not sure whether he should repeat his speech to his brother since he's heard it once before, but Sasuke is family. Itachi will be kind enough to grace Sasuke with his eloquent words, and repeat his welcoming speech to him. Sasuke is a lucky one. He was the first to ever hear his speech, and the first to hear it for a second time.

"Two charcoal eyes turn crimson red,

Spinning wheels of chaos and dread.

Don't gaze too long for you'll see – your worst nightmare.

In my world of torture for you'll stay

For what feels like an eternity, there.

2 seconds, 2 minutes, 2 hours, 2 days –

Time is irrelevant in my world.

Time, space, infinite mass… All mine.

72 hours you'll be intertwined in a web of suffering unfurled.

Yet, in reality only a second has passed in the time line.

Too much of this power corrodes my sight.

A price to pay to hear your pained cries.

My world of fright,

Its blood red moon, and blackened sky,

It calls for anguish, suffering, and decay.

This is Tsukuyomi, enjoy your stay."

Sasuke screams into the air. Itachi isn't sure if it's because of the torture, or because he's one-upped his little brother again – Sasuke never had a way with words like Itachi had.

The End

A/N:

This is a poem I wrote about two years ago. I forgot about it until I was looking through some of my old documents. I've decided to post it even though it's old writing of mine and Itachi's portrayal isn't accurate since I wrote this before we find out he's good. The non-poetry part is something I added to it recently.

Anyway, if it isn't too much trouble leave a review! They really make my day, and I'd love to know what you think. Constructive crit is helpful too. Thanks for reading!
