Chapter One ~

I groaned as my eyelids were invaded by sunlight. I instinctively covered my eyes with my arms in defiance. I knew
who had just pulled aside my window curtains- my young sister Lily.
"Wake up, sleepy head!" she squealed in delight as she jumped onto me.
I couldn't help but giggle. I loved my little sister very much. Who could resist such a cute little girl? I gave a
devilish grin, and suddenly began tickling her.
"This is your punishment!" she declared. She went into a giddy fit of laughter.
"Okay okay!" she shouted, cheerful tears in her eyes. "I give in ~" she pouted, and at this I stopped my tickling.
Lily was a seven year old girl with blonde-almost white- hair that went to her upper neck. She had clear brown
eyes that seemed to peer into your soul with her innocence. I was a ten year old girl who had chocolate brown hair,
and vivid orange(which seemed red under intense sunlight) irises. My hair went all the way to my knees.
After my sister had settled, she peered at my. "Oh yeah!" she suddenly remembered. "Mum made breakfast."
I gave a nod in response. Lily then slid out of my bed and ran downstairs to the kitchen after the delivery of her
message. I swept a hand through my long hair, then went into the bathroom.
Since it was a weekend, I took a long hot bath. Then I put on a light, simple dress. On Saturday was chores day,
and my very first chore after breakfast was to walk our dog, Pudding. She was a little yorkie who was adored by
the family and neighbors. While I walked the dog, I was to to some shopping at the local store.
I headed downstairs, greeted by Mother, Father, and older brother and sister twins Jack and Jill.
"Good morning," they chimed all together, and I returned with a good-natured "Good morning."
As always, my father was reading a newspaper with a mug of coffee at his side, my mother was washing dishes, and
my siblings were either still eating or grabbing seconds. I sat down where my plate was and began to eat my food.
When I finished, I placed my plate on the counter for my mother to wash. "I'll be going then," I commented gently.
"Be careful," my father warned in a mumble as usual before I went off to do shopping and walking.
I nodded. "Of course," I replied in return- as usual. Then I grabbed Pudding's leash, snapped it onto her pink
leather collar, and headed out. I welcomed the fresh Saturday breeze, the sun's refreshing rays, and the newly cut
grass of our neighbors. Saturday was always my favorite day.
Off I went down the sidewalk of the block. I always took breaks for Pudding's "business". I had a plastic bags for
any of Pudding's "serious mistakes" as I put it.
I hummed to myself contently, and arrived to the store. As always I tied Pudding's leash to a night pole nearby
though I knew it wasn't needed. The yorkie was an obediant pup and had no intentions of running away, even if her
leash somehow came out of my control.
I entered, glancing around casually for the wares needed from my mother's shopping list. It took half an hour to
get everything. Then it happened.
The abduction.
The start of my new life.

That's my very first chapter! I began writing this story earlier and stopped at Chapter 3, so I don't intend to make any edits until after I make Chapter 4. Even so, please tell me all critique, whether it may be encouragement or something to bring me down! I'll put up a new chapter after 1 review. :)
